I briefly mentioned The Magic Roundabout (a fairground carousel)in another post and now thought I’d give you the names of the characters. The series ran from 1965-1977 and used the stop motion animation from an older French series but created different scripts and characters.

Dougal - drop eared Skye Terrier
Zebedee - Jack-in-the-box
Ermintrude - Cow
Dylan - Hippy Rabbit
Brian - Snail
Florence - Girl
Mr Rusty - Roundabout Operator
Mr McHenry - A Gardener

Three other children appear in the first series and in the title music but rarely in later series.
