1. I say: "This is my son
Teddy and, no, it's not a nickname."
You say: I like it!
You think: I do like it, even as a full name but in reality I'd still only use it as a nn. It could be a lot worse though.
2. I say: "Meet my sister Calleigh-Grace."
You say: Interesting.
You think:
Grace is lovely but ditch Calleigh and the hyphen,
Callie would be better.
3. I say: "These are my twin sons,
Nathan and Nahtan."
You say: Nahtan is unusual and I don't hear
Nathan much
You think: Can't stand
Nathan,
what is Nahtan and these are way too similar for twins
4. I say: "Hi, my name is
Emily."
You say: That's lovely
You think: That's lovely
5. I say: "I'm thinking about naming my daughter Clarabelle Gracelyn
Matilde. What do you think?"
You say: That's different
You think: Clarabel = name of one of
Thomas the Tank Engines carriages, please god not Gracelyn,
Grace is so much better.
Matilde is nice though.
6. I say: "Hi, I hate my name - it's
Angel."
You say: It's not that bad.
You think: Don't blame you. At least
Mya isn't stuck on the front.
