Finally! After so many years of fertility treatments we finally conceived. We couldn't believe it! Then, when the Doctor told us there were 5 in there, we were even more in shock! We had to move from the city into a bigger house in the suburbs to fit all the new additions. We got a 4 bedroom house with a big backyard for the kids to play in. The house needed a little work, but Ulysses is good with the hammer, since he has been working in construction for several years, so he fixed it up real nice for us. Lucy had to quit her job as a secretary since they couldn't afford a baby sitter for 5 children. She is really enjoying being a stay at home mom.
The 5 babies all arrived a month early via c-section, 2 boys and 3 girls, and we couldn't be prouder parents. We decided to get a puppy to keep the kids busy with something to play with so Lucy can catch up on all the housework that comes with being a new mom. Ulysses decided to name the dog after a noble character in his favorite book "Lord of the Rings". We always wanted to have a large family, but didn't expect it to happen all at once! We are one BIG happy family!
We decided to name the boys after U.S. Presidents, like Ulysses's brothers and dad. The girls have French first names, in honor of Lucy's mother, and thier middle names after her favorite flowers.
The boys are identical twins with brown hair and green eyes and the girls all look different than each other. Amelie and Gabrielle look more like thier mother with green eyes and brown hair, and Madeline has light brown hair and hazel eyes, like her father. They each weighed around 4 1/2 lbs.
