I prefer Shannon only on a girl, and it's an OK name. But, for a boy, I suggest Shannon Thomas.

I adore Shannon on a boy. It's my middle name, but I like it better on boys. Because it's so common on girls it might be good to match it with a nonunisex male name.Shannon Zachary
Shannon James
Shannon Michael
Shannon Walter
Shannon Scott
Shannon Victor
Shannon Augustus
Shannon LukeOf those combos Shannon Luke is my favourite, but my absolute favourite "Shannon" combos are Victor Shannon and Niall Shannon.

I really like Shannon for a boy. The (late) lead singer of Blind Melon (best known for the song "No Rain") was named Shannon Hoon. (I'm not sure what his middle name was, though I'm curious.) I think it works best as a middle name for a boy; there's a guy in my grade named David Shannon Lastname.Shannon Vaughan (a lot of on/awn sounds, though)
Shannon David
Shannon Lionel
Shannon Finlay
Shannon Ray
Shannon Xavier
Shannon Todd
Shannon Christopher
Shannon FrankI think that Shannon sounds nicest with a middle name that's clearly masculine, but that's not too common now. Shannon Lionel, Shannon Ray, Shannon Todd, and Shannon Christopher are my favourites of that list. If you gave us more of an idea of what sorts of names you like, it'd be a lot easier to give suggestions.Array

No, you've chosen really good names. Usually I like the out of the ordinary sort of names, but with a boy named Shannon and having a weird middle name, I think that would be too much for some people. Especially concidering how many people out there hate Shannon on a boy solely because it's "a girls name" (which I don't agree with, obviously). But that's the way it is, and if I were to name my son Shannon, I wouldn't want to damage him in any way but giving him an overly out-there name.-------------------------------------------------
