[Opinions] WDYT of Luke?
I've been thinking of Luke as a nice Biblical name, like John. I also like L names for boys, but can't find many I can tolerate. Any combo ideas?Mine:Luke James or James Luke
Daniel Luke

I like Luke becasue of the Biblical connection too. It's a strong handsome name imo. I like it for both a fn and a mn. Luke James and James Luke don't flow very well imo. I'd also prefer Luke Daniel to Daniel Luke, because then the names don't run into each other.

I love the name Luke. I was more or less forced to name my son William (which I have since grown to like) because my husband had his heart set on naming his son after himself, his father, and his grandfather. But if that had not been the case, I may well have named him Luke. When I told my son this, however, his response was "Thank God you didn't name me Luke." But that's just him, I love this name. My only suggestion is that because it is a one syllable name, it would really sound best with a three or more syllable middle name. Therefore, I don't think that Luke James works all that well.

I love Luke but for personal reasons, over-popularity, and rhyming with "puke", I probably wouldn't ever use it. :-/
