[Opinions] Vanessa?
What do you think? I actually really like it, I think maybe the 'ness' part is what I love, so naturaly I'd use the nickname options of Ness, Nessie or Nessa. And hypotheticaly if I were to have a daughter and name her Vanessa, and she went by Ness, is it to similar to the fact the people call be Jess (names Jessica, like about a million other girls born in the nineties) ? and what would you name Vanessa's siblings?thanks :)

My sister's name is Vanessa, and we- her family- call her Ness or Nessa. Everyone else calls her Vanessa or V.I like the name, but I obviously wouldn't use it lol.

Vanessa is nice, but be careful with Nessie. People might assume that it's short for the "name" Renesmee. Go for Ness or Nessa instead.

I must be the odd one out here, but I have bad associations with this name. I was mercilessly picked on at school by a girl named Vanessa, and as the years went by she turned out.... well, much less than savory, let's just put it at that.Association aside though, I think I would not use a nickname with it, well... maybe Nessa.

I think Vanessa is a bit dated and quite frilly but it's not a bad name. Ness makes a good nickname. How about Vanessa Margot?

I love Vanessa. I like how Vanessa Leigh would mean butterfly meadow. Ness and Jess is pretty similar so I'd use Nessa.

Vanessa's alright. I like Janessa much better. I think Ness and Jess are pretty close, but Nessie or Nessa is great.First sibling name that came to mind was Roberta. No idea why.

I love Vanessa. I'd use Nessa as the nickname rather than Ness, since you go by Jess.
