in reply to a message by estel
House: mansion (inherited from Edi's family)DH1: Edwin Hector "Edi" Armando [jazz musician/dance instructor] (curly black hair, dark brown eyes)
DH2: Alexander Gabriel "Alec" Christiansen [orderly] (straight blond hair, blue eyes)Edi's cousin Tori Angela Bosco (wavy black hair, brown eyes) agreed to be a surrogate, and was surprised when she found she was carrying twins:DS: Hector Lorencio "Tory" Armando (wavy black hair, blue eyes)(joyful)
DS: Gabriel James "Rill" Armando (straight blond hair, brown eyes)(academic)Tori wasn't too keen on another pregnancy so soon (especially after twins!), but Alec's best friend Branwen Holly Xavier (wavy red hair, amber eyes) was eager to help this time around:DS: Bran Elric "Rick" Armando (curly black hair, amber eyes)(generous)Branwen enjoyed the pregnancy so much, she offered to do it again; this time it was twins (much to Tori's glee):DS: Grant Rosario Armando (identical: wavy red hair, dark brown eyes)(creative)
DS: Estavan Michael "Steve" Armando (identical: wavy red hair, dark brown eyes)(joyful)Enough time had passed that Tori actually missed being pregnant, so she offered to be a surrogate once more, only to discover that it was once again twins:DD: Angelina Maribel "Belle" Armando (straight blonde hair, brown eyes)(glamorous)
DD: Ravenna Abigail "Abby" Armando (wavy black hair, brown eyes)(athletic)Tori was about done with pregnancy at that point, but Branwen was once again happy to help:DD: Elena Karen "Elly" Armando (curly black hair, dark brown eyes)(athletic)Cat: Graymalkin(It's only a little confusing that Hector insists on being called Tory, since they pretty much call Tori "Aunt Tori" all the time so it's usually obvious who someone's talking about/to.)Branwen, whom Tory and Rill (as the first born and therefore first to start talking) quickly decide to call "Aunt Wendy" (and it sticks), and Tori inevitably become the best of friends.Edi, who works almost exclusively in his very own studio in the mansion, takes special care to give each of the eight children personal attention when teaching them music and dance, but Grant soon distinguishes himself by mastering the basics of both the piano and guitar while his twin is still fumbling with the recorder, and he quickly surpasses all three of his older brothers as well, but the only one bothered by this is Rill, who takes it as both a bit of an insult and also a motivation to try harder (he eventually gives up on the guitar to focus solely on the piano, but by that point Grant's taking on the trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and basically all forms of percussion). Grant also shows promise in several styles of dance, especially tap. Neither Tory nor Steve really cares if they're good at anything so long as they're having fun; they're the easiest to please, easiest going duo and generally gravitate towards each other despite their age difference. Abby and Elly, who also enjoy basically any sport they encounter, are the most enthusiastic dancers in any style while Belle only really enjoys ballet. Rick, the family's greatest encourager, often asks Rill for help with his homework to subtly remind Rill of his own strengths. It's a good thing they have so much space in the old mansion, because they ended up with so many children (who could have predicted three sets of twins?)! But Edi embraces the chaos of his massive, complicated household, and Alec embraces him so it all works out for everyone involved.
