I've never liked this name much (makes me think of snobby white girls), but I think Brigitte is a lot more attractive spelling, it helps that it's also my sister's name lol.
I've been trying to find similar honoring names for her, but the only ones I've liked enough to use are Briege and Berit, as middle names.

I get good vibes from Bridget. I never considered using it because I have several other favorite names, but I’m always cheered to see it used. Of my favorite names, I think Dorinda has the most similar feel, though it’s mostly disliked on this board. In playing with combos for Bridget, I seem to want either to balance her with sweet, nature-y, or fanciful middles, or bolster her strength with a figurative portcullis.Bridget Althea

I don't like Bridget. I dislike the sound a lot.Strangely, this is my 5 year old's top pick for his due baby sister.Heidi has a similar vibe to me; I think I prefer it but only slightly.

I like the name Bridget a lot, but I would never give that name to a child because people always give me the weirdest looks when I say I like it
