[Opinions] Mary
Would you ever consider Mary? I think it is currently my number 1 choice for a daughter (I also love Iva, and am back and forth). I’ve known many wonderful Marys, and I don’t think I’ve ever known one whom I didn’t like.Which middle name would you choose (I am only interested in combos with one middle name)?I like:Mary Anne
Mary Cecily
Mary Charlotte
Mary Elinor
Mary Evangeline
Mary Isabel
Mary Imogen
Mary Jane
Mary Keturah
Mary Letitia
Mary Matilda
Mary Olivia
Mary Sophia
Mary Susannah
Mary UrsulaThoughts?Sparrow

I prefer Mary to IVA, but not fussed on Mary. I like Mary Susannah or Isabel. To me Mary Jane is a shoe. I think Mary Ellen would be nice too

I've known a couple young ones. I expected to like it, but it honestly felt drab to me in use, so it went out of consideration.I love Mary with 3 syllable middle names more than with shorter or longer combos. It just seems to pop more that way. Mary Matilda stands out from your list. Mary Keturah and Mary Ursula are also great.

Well my name is Mary Olivia, and I am pretty awesome. So that gets my vote.

I have a niece named Mary Margaret, and another niece named Margaret Mary. (They aren't sisters, thank god.) Maybe it was my 13 years of Catholic school, but I don't care for Mary alone. I sorta like Mary Katherine and Mary Elizabeth (never Mary Beth, though), when both names are used. You have Mary Anne, which is nice, but I like Marianne more. Of your other combos, I like Mary Ursula the best. I love Ursula, but I'm always in a tiny minority in every name group I've ever belonged to, sadly. I guess it's because of Little Mermaid that people don't like it (even though Ursula is the best character by far), but I think it's so pretty.

No I wouldn't consider it. It's one of my most disliked girl names. I'd hate to be named Mary and I'd never inflict it on anyone, especially not my own daughter.

I know a few young Marys. I'm not a fan of Mary, just because of how many I know. It's not a terrible name, just not my style. Of your combos I really like:
Mary Matilda
Mary Cecily
Mary Susannah
