[Opinions] Elizabeth, Catherine, Anne, or Jane? (m)
You can only choose one for a daughter. Which do you choose, and what would you use as a middle name? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

Catherine. It's actually kind of pretty. Elizabeth bores me to tears. Anne is fine but I much prefer Annabel. And Jane is sweet but also very very bland.Catherine Annabel. I'd probably even add another middle name because there are many Catherines out there.

Catherine Seraphina is lovely.

Well, Anne is a family name but I do not love it. I think I like Catherine the best though.

I don't actually hate any of these names, they're just all bland. I would use Anne as an honoring thing, but there are SO many Anne/Anna/Annette's in my family, so I think in actuality I'd go with Jane. I think Jane Sophronia Cecile is a good combo.

Jane Sophronia Cecile is gorgeous! I'd probably opt for Jane Sophonisba myself.

Thank you!Jane Sophonisba is beautiful as well!

Giving my middle name picks for all, because it's my thread...Elizabeth Astrid
Catherine Gladys
Anne Lorraine
Jane RosalindI would call them Elisa, Cat, Annie, and Jane. I like Jane by itself, it doesn't get a nickname. My favorite is Elizabeth, because it's strong and versatile, but I would spell it Elisabeth.

Elizabeth Astrid is a beautiful combo!:)

Thanks! :)

JaneI'd probably opt for something like Jane Sophonisba, Jane Polymnia, Jane Ermengarde, Jane Scholastica, Jane Melpomene, or Jane Crescentia.

I have a Scholastica in my family tree. She was French Canadian.

And I have a Melpomene in mine. Greek. She’s my grandmother.

Jane Crescentia gets my vote, followed by Jane Ermengarde. :)

I absolutely love Elizabeth and Catherine. I really like Jane a lot. I like Anne, but I far prefer Anna. So, for me, it would come down to Elizabeth and Catherine. I think Elizabeth is more beautiful, but I think Kate is just as beautiful as Elizabeth, so if I could use Kate as a nickname, the two are neck and neck. Since my sister's name is Elizabeth, I'll go with Catherine (or preferably Katherine) so my other sister wouldn't feel left out. Katherine Julia Elizabeth, maybe, to honor both my sisters?
Katherine Ada is my stock combo. Kate as a nickname.

Definitely Catherine. I’ll go with Anne as a middle name because it would be honoring.

Not sure if this is cheating, but I'd use Anne with the "AH-nə" pronunciation and middle name Hypatia, Rowena, Willow, or Galadriel.(If I can't use that pronunciation of Anne, I'd use Catherine Luna. I like Jane but I can't see myself using it)

Assuming that I somehow knew this was going to be my only daughter, I'd probably go with Anne (otherwise, I have other Ann- names I prefer, like Anna and Annabel). She'd be Anne Thomasina or Anne Wilhelmina. I'd call her Annie.

Anne Wilhelmina is beautiful!

JaneIt’s simple, but unpretending and nice. I would go with something like Jane Annette, Jane Lenore, Jane Delphine, or even Jane Euphrosyne.I also like Catherine as well. I would choose Catherine Estelle or Catherine Odette.

As both names are honoring, I'd use Jane Elizabeth

These are all great! My daughter's name is Elizabeth Claire. It could be turned around to Claire Elizabeth. Anne Elise, Catherine Helen, Jane Adair. Laura is another classic name.

Anne MarieAs a double name. I quite like this simple combination for some reason.

Oooh, I like all of them so much. Tudor names :) I’ll have to go with Elizabeth, since it’s my daughter’s name. ;) But aside from real life usage, I choose this combo: Anne EleonoraBut Catherine Anne is nice as well.

Anne Eleonora is gorgeous!

I've already used Anne and Elizabeth as mns. Catherine has suffered from its own and its clones' popularity. Jane, then.Jane Penelope, though DH wouldn't endorse it!
Jane Philippa Mary. Yes!

JaneI've always loved Jane and I'd be happy to bestow it on a potential daughter.
Jane Ariadne
Jane Cordelia
Jane Cornelia
Jane Eurydice
Jane Leocadia
Jane Lysandra
Jane SophroniaIf I'd have to settle for just one, I'd choose Jane Ariadne.

ElizabethI was tempted to choose Jane; but then I imagined a scenario in which I wouldn't be able to use Elise, and I just had to go with Elizabeth in that case. A huge reason that Elizabeth doesn't feel boring to me, despite its enduring popularity, is the myriad nicknames available. You could have a group of Elizabeths all going by a different everyday nickname: Liz, Beth, Betsy, Ellie, Lizzie, etc. (Elle / Ellie would be my go-to.)My stock combo is Elizabeth Iris.

Jane Cordelia:)

Jane Leona Mildred
Jane Zoraida Miriam
Jane Nimue Cerys
