I prefer Gabriella. Gabrielle sounds masculine to me, like Gabriel (which is pronounced gahv-ree-EL here, really similar to Gabrielle). I am one of the people who like the nn Gabby, so it isn't a problem- it has potential to sound awfully cute. And as I don't like Gabrielle itself that much, I prefer it as a mn. It's also easier to find something that flows.

Gabrielle is pretty, but I prefer Gabriella. I like Gabrielle as a mn and Gabriella for either a fn or mn.

Gabrielle (Gabrielle Maria) is my sister's name. Gabrielle / Gabriella seems like it would make a better first name than it would a middle name. Another good nickname for Gabrielle would be Ella. :) God bless!

Gabrielle by far. I love Gabrielle, I really loathe Gabriella. I think it works great as either or, but especially like it for a fn, mainly because my future husband said no. I presonally think Gabby is really cute, despite the possible connection with someone who talks a lot, but I dont think of it at all...I am reminded of it after-the-fact. Gabbs is also cute.

I really like the name Gabrielle. Both Gabrielle & Gabriella are pretty, but I slightly more prefer Gabrielle. I don't like the NNs Gabby, though. Ellie, Ella, & Brielle are all cute, but Gabby sounds so harsh and is dnmsaa. Name combinations:
