I like Cressida and Cassius.I can see myself having a sibset of girls all with names that begin with V, but only because I happen to like most girls' names that start with a V, not because I set out thinking, "All my children must have names that start with the same letter."

They are all pretty good
I think these ones are my favourites
Cressida
Cecily or Cecilia
Calista
Clarisse or Clarissa
As well as
Clementine
Clara similar to Clarissa
Clemens or Clemont
Carlisle
CasparMy sister and I don't have the same first letter but they sound similar as there is the same intial sound which is fine, also all my cousins (aren't many) have the same letter that I do and it works because the names are quite different.

I would try to avoid repeating the same letters, but wouldn't have a problem if I ended up doing it. My sisters and I share the same first initial, and it's never been an issue really.

I know a family with a tradition of A names. Sisters Aileen (pronounced like Eileen) and Annette had children Alan and Antoinette, and Anthony, Amanda, Richard (mother got rebellious and never stopped reproaching herself for not having chosen Timothy instead) and Angus. Antoinette gave her son a B name but had daughters Alexandra and Abigail. Don't know about the others. Nothing odd there, spelling-wise, but the idea seems like a voluntary imprisonment. No single initial letter has a monopoly on excellent names. So, I'd be willing to use names that happened to start with the same letter but only if I liked the name rather than the letter. Peter and Penelope could work; Dinah and Daniel; Adrian and Alastair.I also know a Rosalind who had two brothers and then a much younger sister who was born on their parents' wedding anniversary. Being literary types, they named her Rosemary (pray, Love, remember) and apologised to Rosalind for what they rightly imagined would be on-going confusion.

Camille: This reminds me of Bill Cosby, and the less said about Bill Cosby at the moment, the better.
Carmen: I think it's sexy in the way that red lipstick is sexy; it "sizzles" and it's very adult. I've always liked it a lot.
Carole: Never understood the 'e' at the end. Carol/Carole just doesn't do it for me. I have an aunt named Carol, and it's just dated and bland to me.
Cecily: I prefer Cecilia. Cecily feels unfinished, somehow.
Celeste: Tired old reason for not liking it: rhymes with "molest". Creepy vibe.
Clover: Dorky.
Coral: Reminds me of that chick from "The Real World". Never cared for it.
Cressida: Sounds snooty and VERY upper-class to me. "Cressida! Come here and meet the representative from Vassar!" *nose in the air*
Calista: Flockheart. I say this every time, but I can't separate the name from the woman. I watched "Ally McBeal" religiously in high school, so...
Cassidy: Eh. No feelings about it. It's fine.
Celandine: Sounds like the name of a gourmet salad.
Cathleen: I prefer Kathleen. Cathleen is all right, but I think the K adds punch.
Clarice/Clarisse: Are the lambs still screaming, Clarice?Carlisle: Twilight. Peter Facinelli in ridiculous, pale makeup. Ugh.
Caspar: The Friendly Ghost. Ever seen the movie "Kids"? Yeah, I wouldn't recommend this one.

After reading your response, I feel like I missed out on a bunch of social entertainment in my teens! . . . - Loved Bill Cosby Show back then, but never made the Camille connection.
- Never saw Real World. It was on a list of forbidden shows when I was far too old to adhere to a list of forbidden shows.
- Vassar! Actually, I would love my kid to get in. But, I totally see your angle.
- Ally Mcbeal, another show I sidestepped.
- Silence of the Lambs, well aware of the connection. I think it may plague my daughter. She has three Clarice reindeer to mentally train the connection out before she hits the real world.
- Twilight - yep, never saw that either! Dang. And, I though Edward was the only name I would have to defend from that ;)
- Casper - yeah... the ghost. I can't separate either :( Still love Caspar though. Really really classy without the animated connection.

Yeah... classy is in the mind of the writer I suppose. ;)Thansk for your ending comment. I am constantly struggling with the fact that I adore c-names, but think alliterative naming is kinda tacky. Still... If I were to have three girls... and not just the one or two... I am not sure I could avoid another c-name. Btw - really like Mattea Plum!

I didn't do it myself (have 3 children), but my late brother and I both have "J" names.
I doubt my parents did that on purpose, both names are family ones. The child born between us, who lived only a week, wasn't a J, his name was Roderick.

My favourite name's up there (Caspian). I also like Cressida, Calista, and Cedric. Other C names I like are:
Girls: Clio, Clara, Constance, Cecilia, Ceasura, Calluna, Caja, Cerys, Calliope, Cypress, Cyra, Catiana, Celosia, Chrysanthe
Boys: Cyril, CharlieBonus Question: Maybe. It really depends on the names. I definitely wouldn't mind if all the names started with the same letter but had different sounds E.g. Pandora, Phoenix, & Ptolemy or Clio & Cecilia. If the names all shared similar sounds e.g. Clara, Clio, & Calluna, I wouldn't go for it.

If I had only girls, I'd consider using the letter E: for example, I like Effia/Efia, Elanor, Elisa, Elsa, Elsi and Ester. Some of those names would be honoring, but all in all it seems that most of my favorite names start with E.

My hubby has a penchant for 'C' names, so this is super helpful. :)I like Capsian the best. I also like Cecily & Camille.I wouldn't personally go out of my way to name a sibset of one letter, but have you ever noticed that you like certain letters moer than others?
