Miriam, Bianca, Vivian, Eliana or Viviana? (more)
Miriam, Bianca, Vivian, Eliana and Viviana are some names I am really liking at the moment. Which one is your favorite and which one your least favorite? Why? You can rank and comment on all of them if you like, comments are appreciated :) Eliana is an old favorite but I obviously couldn't use both, Viviana and Eliana, so I decided to add it.Which spelling of Vivian is your favorite? Which of these names goes best with Lily?

My fave is Miriam, it's such a lovely name. I have a niece with the name. Eliana is lovely too. Viviana would be my least fave, just doesn't do anything for me. Vivienne is probably the spelling I like most. Lily and Miriam would be beautiful for sisters.

I like or love all of these names. My favorite is Vivian and my least favorite is Bianca.Eliana and Viviana are tied for second place because I love both.Miriam I borderline like or love. Bianca I like.
I think that Eliana doesn't work well with Lily. Viviana also isn't great as a sibling for Lily.Lily and Vivian, Lily and Bianca, Lily and Miriam all go well together.
I truthfully love many Vivian spellings; Vivian, Vivien, and Vivienne. I am not 100% certain which is my favorite but I'd probably go with Vivian.

I like Miriam. After Mary it's probably my favourite Mary name.
Bianca ... it's better than Blanche, I will say that for it, and also better than Scarlett, Indigo etc, but it just doesn't convince me at all. And I've heard the middle syllable sounding like An and Un, and neither is attractive.
Eliana. So long and lumpy. I'm afraid I can't follow you there, especially when there's Elinor / Eleanor as a really beautiful alternative.
Vivian and Viviana: OK, Viviana is out immediately on length alone. In an English-speaking environment anyway - can't answer for other places. Vivian looks wrong for a girl; I know it's hardly used for boys so it probably shouldn't matter, but to me it does. The usual form where I live is Vivienne, which I don't like either because it looks so French but never gets the French pronunciation. I actually do like Vivien quite a lot; it combines liveliness and elegance.I wouldn't use either Vivien or Miriam, unless I had as many daughters as a herring. But only because there are so many names that I enjoy more.

I love all of those names. Once upon a time I would have said Vivian / Viviana, but where I live in the US it is the top name for girls... I know six under the age of 5. I still think it's a beautiful name, but I'd prefer something different. I love that Miriam is uncommon and has an unusual, lovely sound. Love the nn Miri. I love the sound of Bianca, but the meaning doesn't appeal to me much. That said, I think Bianca sounds best with Lily of these names: Bianca Lily... ah! So pretty.

I like them all. Miriam - adore this. My favorite nickname is Mim. I knew one as a kid and thought it was awesome. This seems like the perfect blend of vintage and classy for a kid right now. Bianca - a love of mine that most people I talk to don't like much. I does sometimes make me think of the bubblegum chewing girl in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' even though her name was Veruca. I think this usable, but I would be surprised to meet one. Vivian - really always liked this, but it has caught on in popularity lately. I used to be crazy about the Vivienne spelling, but I also like the Vivien spelling. It just seems so foxy withe the e. Eliana - I am not as keen on this one. I have met a bunch of people with toddlers who have this name. They are all very proud of it and think it so rare. It's not as rare as they think, but it IS new to the general public I think. People seem to think it's gorgeous. I might be a rebel in that I don't really. I mean, it's a fine name, but not my style. Viviana though - tons more life than Eliana. It's not so dainty and fragile... it has oomph. I do prefer the frill-less Vivien, but Viviana is certainly a top choice. As for Lily... I think Lily and Miriam work amazingly together.

I love Miriam and like Vivian and Viviana. Vivien is my favourite spelling as it's my grandmother's name.

Miriam, by a mile. But I think Bianca sounds best with Lily.

1. Miriam
2. Vivian / Viviana
3. Bianca
4. Eliana...but paired with Lily (as a sibling or as part of a combo?), I'd rank them this way:1. Bianca
2. Vivian / Viviana
3. Miriam
4. Eliana
I really like both Vivian and Viviana, but Vivian feels slightly dated to me, and Viviana seems frilly.
I think, of those two, Viviana would flow best with Lily in a combo, but I like Vivian more with Lily in a sibset.

I agree about the order of the Lily pairings.

Hi Perrine !!!I rank them !!
These numbers are refered to THIS group of names.Bianca 9
Viviana 8
Miriam 7
Eliana 6
Vivian 5Bianca is one of my favourite names. I would use it in real life.Viviana: I currently find this one beautiful. It is refined, light and fresh.Miriam: I decide to give 7 to names that I used to like but that are not longer in my list.Eliana has 6 because it boring imo..so sorry (I know that you like it very much).Vivian is the last. It reach 5 because it seems incomplete to me.I love the spelling Vivienne too. In this list it would reach an 8 as Viviana. It is refined and fresh as well.I like sone variants of Miriam that I want to tell you...Miriana; this is our variant. It is very very rare but I like it very much.Miryam: this variant is very familiar and natural to me because it seems the Arabic v. Maryam (If you read Arabic novels you can find it more than twice in every book). With Lily...
I guess that you would use it with Bianca because it creates a lovely meaning...BUT NOT USE IT.This is because in Italy 'Snow White' is called Biancaneve so Bianca Lily is too similar. With Bianca I suggest a longer name or a name with less wovels..No good Lily combos in this group... other alternatives?

I was thinking of them as names for a sister to Lily :) I don't think I would use any together with Lily, in the same combo. You are right, they don't really go well with Lily, in a combo. As for middle names, at the moment I like Lily Anastasia a lot :) I also like Lily Mathilde, Lily Jasmine, Lily Rose, Lily Rosalia :) I like Maryam! Mari is cute too and I like Mary, Marie and Maria. Marina too! Miriana is interesting. I have also heard Miriama before. I am also really starting to like Gelsomina, I know you suggested it to me some time ago :)

Miriam is by far my favorite. I love Vivian and Viviana as well, I have a thing for V names. Bianca and Eliana are alright. Eliana seems rather boring to me, but it also seems to fit the best with Lily.
