Theodora - I just like the sound better
Esther - This was a really difficult one because I love both Eliza and Esther. Esther won out because it doesn't end in 'a'.
Octavia - It has a richer sound than Olympia
Meredith - It has a pleasant sound and might mean "sea lord." What's not to love? Millicent sounds like an elderly smoker and Millie is an insipid nickname.
Ava - Esme reminds me of asthma.
Felicity - Marina isn't very distinctive and reminds me of gross oily marina water.
Pearl - I like Lois because of the association with Lois Lane, but ultimately Pearl has a much more pleasing sound.
Athena - This was a very tough one, but it's hard to pass up the goddess of wisdom as a namesake.
Sophia - Unless you're Hungarian, Zsofia sounds like being weird for the sake of being weird, and almost nobody would know how to pronounce it.
Eloise - Like many city names, Paris is tacky. (I do know Paris is a mythological figure, but the city is the primary association nowadays).

Theodora or Dorathea - Theodora. At least the spelling is accurate.
Eliza or Esther - Esther. Good meaning, and Eliza is one of the less appealing nns for Elizabeth.
Olympia or Octavia - Octavia. Rather a mathematical inaccuracy than a misplaced mountain.
Meredith or Millicent - Meredith, easily. Millicent looks like a seriously devalued currency unit.
Esme or Ava - Esme. It's a family name which I'd use IRL as a mn. Ava is feeble and flabby.
Felicity or Marina - Felicity. I like it, and I far prefer Marinus to Marina.
Lois or Pearl - Got to be Lois. Pearl is not my kind of name at all.
Athena or Anthea - Anthea. Goddesses are dodgy.
Zsofia or Sophia - Sophia, which I assume is pronounced soFIEa. Zsofia would get tired of explanations very quickly.
Paris or Eloise - I like Eloise a lot, and I dislike male names on females. Easy-peasy!

Theodora or Dorathea - Theodora. It'd be a tougher choice if it were Dorothea.
Eliza or Esther - Eliza.
Olympia or Octavia - Olympia
Meredith or Millicent - Millicent
Esme or Ava - Ava, not because I like it much more but it's just easier to say.
Felicity or Marina - Marina. I hate Felicity
Lois or Pearl - Lois ... I don't like it, though.
Athena or Anthea - Athena
Zsofia or Sophia - they're the same name ... I only have English so Sophia for me
Paris or Eloise - Paris by far. I like Paris as a f name.

Hi Frappuccino !!!Theodora or Dorathea
I prefer Theodora while I also like Dora to Dorothea. Eliza or Esther
I love Esther! I prefer it spelled Ester though.Olympia or Octavia
I love Olympia. Unfortunatelly I can't use it for some reasons.Meredith or Millicent
I prefer Millicent as well as Mélisande. Meredith is masculine in my mind.Esme or Ava
I like Esme as a English form of Esmée while I prefer Esmeralda without nicknames.Felicity or Marina
Marina is elegant, fresh and but so immediate!Lois or Pearl
Pearl wins but I much prefer Perla. Lois is Ancient Greek, I know, but unfortunatelly I've only seen it in Superman. I'm not a fan of that. Athena or Anthea
I love Athena!! Anthea is and old-fave of mine! Zsofia or Sophia
Neither. Way too overused. Paris or Eloise
I love Paris even if I prefer it pronounced in French. It is also masculine with a great myth behind it. Wonderful.

Eliza or Esther
Olympia or Octavia
Meredith or Millicent
Esme or Ava
Felicity or Marina
Lois or Pearl (I don't really like either of them: Pearl is awkward sounding to me, while Lois reminds me of the Finnish word "loinen", meaning "parasite")
Athena or Anthea
Zsofia or Sophia (Zsofia is fine in the Hungarian context)
Paris or Eloise
