[Opinions] Which of these is your favorite British/Scottish/Irish combo?
I posted this over in the writing forum, too, but it seems that this one gets a bit more action. I'm thinking about writing a story based on this ( http://s225.photobucket.com/albums/dd201/xLeenieBeanx/?action=view¤t=doll1.png ) character, but I'm not sure what to call him. I don't even know what the story will be about or what the character will be like other than the fact that he is a Scottish college or high school student and most likely lives in Edinburgh. So far I've come up with:
Ewan James
Patrick Tyler
Alexander Ross
Morgan Percival
Jamie Colin
Seamus Ethan
Desmond Luke
Oliver Ronan
Kyle AdrianWhich one(s) do you like best? Do you have any other suggestions?

I like Ewan James and Jamie Colin the most, but really the only one I don't like is Kyle Adrian.

I couldn't get your pic to work sorry.Edinburgh is very middle class lol, and at the minute the most popular names with these kind of parents is very Scottish surnames e.g. Fraser, Finlay and Cameron. I would say James Fraser but there's 100s of them out there. Maybe Ross Finlay or Adam FraserOf your selection I like Ewan James and Alexander Ross - they seem to work best in my opinion for a normal Scottish guy.

I know a guy from Edinburgh, Scotland who's 18 years old. His name is Benjamin "Ben" Andrew. Boring name, huh? LOL. I like Ewan James the best, I think. I also like Desmond Luke, but that sounds like more of an Irish fn to me. Morgan Percival and Jamie Colin are also nice, but I prefer Jamie as a nn for James. Good luck.

Out of your list I love Alexander Ross and it would work well for a student's name. Also Jamie Colin, Oliver Ronan (altho not very Scottish) and Morgan (not sure about Percival). Kyle has become very popular in recent years but I tend to associate it with little kids or a tearaway teenage boy, not a college student, sorry! I also don't think you would get many Desmonds under the age of about 50 these days, either.

could be in Glasgow or Fife... sorry, :) just aiming at something other than Edinburgh.I like: Oliver Ronan the best, but Ewan James is nice too.

I think the most realistic for a Scottish student would be either Alexander Ross or Jamie Colin. A lot of those names are quite old fashioned orr too stereotypically Irish.Could I suggest Lee or Jack? They would fit well.

Out of your choices Ewan James, Alexander Ross or Jamie Colin are best.I'm at university in Scotland (Stirling) so these are a few people I've known (so Scottish lads at university):
Fraser
Martin
Gary
Colin
Iain
Brodie (actually this might be quite rare, he's the first Brodie I've ever come across)
Graeme / Graham (pronounced GRAY-um)
Stuart / Stewart
Craig (loads of these)
Murray
Finlay
Alastair / Alistair(And of course loads of Andrews, Johns, Jameses etc)
