Help[Opinions] Tanith and Django.
Opinions? It's got quite the history, I know, but I identify with the myths surrounding it. I love the sound and the meaning. Tanith Eve is a maybe (I love the double symbolism in it) but I'm not sure. Wdyt, and what would you pair with it?
Also what do you think of Django? I would be using the name in honor of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Django_Reinhardt
Better as a middle name? Lior Django? Amar Django?

While Tanith isn't really my style, Tanith Eve is lovely. I think Tanith Lenore would be pretty. Or Tanith Elena, maybe.
I really like Django as well, but it reminds me too much of my brother's dog, who was named after Django Reinhardt, to really appreciate any combos involving it as a first name. That being said, I really like Amar Django. How is Lior pronounced? I love the meaning, but I'm not sure how to say it.

I sort of like Tanith, but I'd keep it as a GP, personally (and on a side note, the goddess could be connected with child-sacrifice). The name is related to the Egyptian goddess Neith ( creation goddess)- I absolutely adore Neith. WDYT?

Sorry, I'm in a pissy mood.
I do like Neith. I'd have to research it a bit more but overall it's grate. The rest of the naems didn't do much for me, I hate to say. Evren is a favorite (or was until it become a board darling), but the rest (save for Helen) are nmsasa.

Tanith is interesting, though not really my style. But I really don't care for Django, in spite of the Reinhart connection I can't imagine it on a real person.

My mother's favorite name is Django (after Django Reinhardt) and, being a guitarist, I whole-heartedly approve.
Tanith was on my PNL for a while, but I got over it in pretty short order. It's a nice name in theory, but I just can't see it on a real child.

Tanith seems to fit in very, very well with all the current names. I see on a child much more easily than a lot of the names I hear on the board. Hmm, I'll have to think of that.

Well, you'll notice...
... that none of my feminine names tend to carry much weight. Even my more "boy-ish" favorites (Quinn, Sloane, Hollis) are rather light. So I guess I have a hard time with "bulky-er" names, which is what I concider Tanith to be.
Also, now I think about it, I really don't even like weighty names on boy's (my favorites being River, Shannon, August, ect.). I guess I'm just a feather-weight namer :-)

I really like both. Tanith is pretty and feminine, but in an unusual sort of way--and I really like -ith names, I'm finding. Tanis is also really nice, IMO. And Django is just what we call bad to the ass.

I've been on a serious Lyle Lovett kick, though. I Will Rise Up has been played almost constantly, ditto for North Dakota and If I Needed You.

Lyle Django would get the thumbs-up from me, since I'm quite fond of both of them, but I don't think they have quite the melodious rhythm together that each deserves.
Django Thelonious, however--now that is getting closer. Django Duke, Django Miles, Django Wilson, Otis Django. Hmmmm.
