Kaia and Cedar
These names have been growing on me lately and I was wondering what others thought. Yes, Cedar is for a girl; it's stolen straight from Tate. Kaia, prn KYE-ah, I really like. I worry that it's too trendy, despite not actually being very popular (I checked the stats, it topped at somewhere in the 600s a couple years ago.) Some combos I've got:
Joanna Cedar
Cedar Melora
Delilah CedarLinden Kaia or Kaia Linden (which sounds better?)
Kaia Tamsin
Kaia Delphine
Which do you like? What are your thoughts on the names? Do you have any combo suggestions?

I love Kaia! Cedar is pretty bad, though. It doesn't even sound nice. Joanna Cedar is quite pretty, though, and Cedar is hidden in the middle.Kaia Linden is very pretty, as is Kaia Delphine. Kaia Tamsin sort of clashes to me.

Well, you already know that I like Cedar :) of your combos I like Joanna Cedar best.Kaia reminds me of the chick that was on Real World Hawaii and she was kinda weird. Though it does have a nice sound to it and I have always thought that. I like Kaia Delphine best.-Tate

Hrm. Kaia does sound a bit trendy to me, but not terribly. I actually like it. Today I'm finding Cedar to be absolutely fantastic. I guess it's having a very sudden appeal to me, because I've never really like it before. Anyhoo . . .Joanna Cedar - I dislike Joana, but it's not a bad combo.
Cedar Melora - very pretty flow! Although it sounds rather like a place name in a fantasy book. Not necessarily a bad thing, that's just how it seems to me.
Delilah Cedar - love Delilah. Nice combo.Linden Kaia or Kaia Linden - I prefer Linden Kaia, but I disliek Linden eitehr way,
Kaia Tamsin - lovely!

Cedar looks great on the page, but in my mind - thanks to a French teacher determined to teach us current affairs - will always sound like 'sida', the French for AIDS. I doubt anyone else has this problem, though . . . That all said, Cedar Melora is an absolutely beautiful combination.Kaia is lovely. Out of those, I'd pick Kaia Linden (definitely that way round) or Kaia Delphine. Cedar Camilla
Cedar Katrina
Rosamund Cedar
Audrey Cedar
Eleanor Cedar
Cedar Larissa
Cedar LucineKaia Melora
Kaia Lenore
Kaia Ginevra (I like this one)From your sig - Kaia Seren, Kaia Ulyssa, Kaia Mireille and Nimue Kaia all sound good to my ears. :)

Kaia was my number one for several years, and Kaia Delphine was actually my combo. That's a crazy coincidence. However all my doubt with the Kaylee/Kylie/Keira/Kaiden/Keeley/Kyra/etc crowd made me less fond of it. That's what makes it seem trendy. And then one day I had a patient named Kaia and I just... didn't like it. I found it kind of awkward to say, or maybe it just didn't suit this girl very well. I don't know, but I really cooled on it after that. I think it's the first time I've ever liked a name LESS after seeing it used on a real child. A good friend of mine had Cedar on her list for a girl. She ended up having a boy though. But I really like it because of her. It was a perfect name for a child of hers, earthy and strong.Delilah Cedar is nice. And I like all the Kaia combos, Kaia Delphine especially for obvious reasons.

A friend of mine had a roomie named Cedar (female), and frankly, when I heard of her I pictured her as being rather mannish and earthy. I had never even heard of Cedar as a name before that. I think it is okay as a middle name - Joanna Cedar is neat; but as a first name it really does strike me as quite masculine. I'm more inclined to Cedra or even Cedara.I like Kaia, actually, although it isn't my style at all. It's a "dreamy" sounding name that isn't fantastical or phoney, it just sounds modern and pleasant. Kaia Linden is my pick of your combos.
