John
What is your favorite John combo (you don't have to pick the ones I list)?Mine are:John Christian
John Henry
John Paul
John Samuel
John ThomasI'd likely say both names as a "duplet" first name.

I love the name John...one of my top favorites! Personally, John Spencer is my favorite combo, and of the ones you've listed, John Samuel gets my vote.

My favorite is John Ferdinand. I love John with a more distinctive middle name. All of yours are great but my favorite is John Paul; I'd totally use it as a double first name, as well as Christopher-John.

John Henry, John Samuel and John Thomas are all very nice. My favourite would have to be John Henry though.

John Thomas is excellent. My nephew is John Owen, and they call him that (both names). I forget if there was a reason why - maybe another John in the family? - or if they just preferred the double name. Anyway, it sounds alright. A little formal and Southern to me (he's in NC) but distinctive.eta - didn't mean to suggest Southern is bad =) I'm just trying to evoke a particular type of formality that does not happen to be my own style. Either you kwim or you don't, I suppose.

John Gideon hovers very near my favorites list, but I shy away from having two first names with the same initial in a sibset, and Joel gets top dibs right now. I like all the combos you have listed with the exception of Christian because I simply don't care for it as a name. I would probably avoid John Paul, though it is a good combo, simply for the Papal reference.

John Thomas & John Michael (mine).

All the combos you've listed are wonderfully nice. My own favourite John-combo is John James. I don't know why, but both names beginning with 'J' and both names having only one syllable appeals to me. It seems snappy, but yet still rather classic. *shrugs*

Of yours I like John Paul and John Henry best as double names. My favorite is John Lee, followed by John Austin, John Michael, and John Simon. These were all boys I went to college with whom we double-barreled their names to keep them straight.

I like John. It's a very masculine, strong name imo. John Christian is a great combo (very handsome) but if you want to use a double first name I prefer John Paul. Personally I'm pretty fond of Alexander as a middle name (in general) and I think John Alexander is lovely. Using some of my favorite names I like John Emmanuel, John Isidore and maybe John Matheus.

I don't like John at all but I like John Gabriel if I had to pick a combo I liked. It's a family name.

What is my favorite mn with John? John Graham ("GRAY-um")
John Emeric
John Aubrey (too much "ah" sound?)
John Emrys
John Gareth
John Patrick
John Malachy
John Amias ("AY-mias")
John EliasI love the name John. It's a strong but gentle, still-waters-run-deep kind of a name. By the way, "John Thomas" is a euphamism for a penis. The reference is dated, as it came from "Lady Chatterley's Lover." Just something I thought you should know. Do with it as you please.

I know the euphemism. It doesn't really exist in America, but penis things rarely repel my interest. :)
