1. What names are you thinking of most today?
Nell a little bit as Helena Bonham Carter just used it and Elle as a nn for Eleanor, my favourite. I've also been considering Austen as a second mn for Lucas after Jane.
2. Do you think its ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
It isn't bad but I see nothing good about it. However, I wouldn't blink an eyelid if siblings were Lucy Rose and Emma Lily.
3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
Yes, completely. I've always been drawn to Marlena, despite finding it hideously trashy, as she is a character in my favourite book.
4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy Shiloh?
Possibly, yes. We live in a very sad world.
5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
Mainly just as I come across them. I've known the majority of them for a very long time but add and take away as my tastes change. Alexandria had been my favourite for several years and now doesn't even make my top 5.
6. How long have you had a name list?
I've been making lists of names since I was about 10 I think. That is the earliest I can remember but I was always interested in names.
7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
Yes, a little. Not as much as I have ideas but I do enjoy creative writing.
8. Whats your least favourite name atm?
Either Gertrude or Edward. I can't stand either.
9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
Millicent Jane. I've been thinking a lot about Millicent recently (I'm still not sure I like it though) and Jane is cute as a mn for Jane Austen.
10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
Either or. The names I have for pets are people names but it doesn't matter to me.
11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
I can't remember anything especially odd.
12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
I stick with my favourites for years but the rest I go through phases.
13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
Either six or eight (four girls minimum)
14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why. B
No, not at all.
15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
I'm not fussed by them.
