Pagan
There was a little girl on the news today named Pagan, which I've never seen used before, although I think it's listed in a couple of my books. Wdyt?_____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

I love it. I'd never use it - it's totally not my style - but I think it's great for either sex. It's just exactly like Christian, which I also like. Except for the unfortunate occasional use of Pagan for animals, of course..- chazda

I'd never use it, nor would I use Christian. It'd be like someone else naming their kid Uniterianuniversalist or Buddhist :P I have nothing against the religion, it's just naming children after any religion kind of binds them to it.--

I've seen girls and a boy named Pagan, but I don't think it's a good idea. Personally, I wouldn't use Pagan, Christian, or any other religion as a name.

I saw the same name on an older man several weeks ago. I'm a Christian, but even without the negative association, I personally don't think it works very well as a name. In addition, I've always thought that it's a bit awkward for parents to name their child after a religion they're not associated with. Even the name Christian, which I like and which is common enough, sounds weird to me on a child of non-Christian parents. If you are indeed a pagan and you wanted to use it a a mn, I suppose it would be fine.~*|Bethany|*~

I love it! I'd use it in a heart beat. Even though it'd be odd, for I am Pagan...

Because I am a Christian I have a hard time liking it. In fact before I have looked for a name to use, I checked out the biblical section first. *hebejebes*

I like the sound, but as a Christian I don't think that would work for me."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

It's nms but neither is Christian.I once read an article where a little girl named Pagan. Her mom was named Christine. I found that funny in a name nerd kind of way.

I think it's a bad idea to name your child after a religion. I feel the same way about Christian, although at least Christian is actually a name and isn't trendy.

I don't like it. The sound is trendy, and it'd be as awkward if I used it as a pagan using Catholic on one of their kids, lol. I think that it's unfair that most of the people who'll tell you it's awful will advocate Christian in a heartbeat, though. Array
