Maximilian
I always forget about this one, but I do love it. What are your opinions on Maximilian? And do you have any suggestions for combos?+Would Maximilian sound strange with brothers who had shorter names? a la Maximilian & Jude, Maximilian & Oscar, Maximilian & Elias? I'm not overly worried about it but I'm curious.

I like Maximilian. I would use the nn Max and having a sibset with shorter names wouldn't be a problem at all. Personally I always picture Maximilian to be paired up with some ancient classics. That is always what comes to mind when I think of Maximilian. Like Maximilian Augustus or Auguste. Maximilian Alexander, Maximilian Cassius, Maximilian Constantine, Maximilian Octavius. However, many classics would go good with it too in my opinion. Such as, Maximilian Ambrose, Maximilian Henry, Maximilian Levi.

Oh, Maximilian Henry is to die for!

I love Max as a nickname, but I prefer it to be a nickname for Maxwell than Maximilian. Maximilian is too pretentious for my tastes. I can't say that I hate it, though.

Maximilian is not my cup of tea, but I don't mind seeing it on other children. It's just one of those names where it feels like the parents were trying too hard. *shrug*Maximilian could easily go with brothers who have shorter names. Especially since he's probably going to be called Max most of the time anyway.Looking at your PNL, I came up with these combos.
Maximilian Arthur
Maximilian Caspar
Maximilian Dexter
Maximilian George
Maximilian Jude
Maximilian Lazarus
Maximilian Rhys
Maximilian Santiago
Maximilian Silas

I too love Maximilian - though always balk because I am not as wild about Max.I don't think it would clash with shorter-named brothers. Especially since it will almost certainly get shortened to Max at some point, by someone.Maximilian and Oscar is so handsome!

I like it, but I would never use it as a first name because of its length (I don't care for the nn "Max"). It'd be great for a middle name, though.
