Evanna
Evanna isn't on BtN, but I'll still ask peoples thoughts on it. Other sites have either said it is the feminine form of Evan and meaning is given as young warrior, another said its a varient of the Greek name Evania (meaning peaceful). I've seen two different pro. Eh-van-nah (like Savannah) & Ev-vah-nah (stress the second syllable). So what do you think?
What combo's would you put it in?
And do you think it is two well known for Irish actress Evanna Lynch? (Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter)

Personally, I love Evanna, and wish the name was on BtN (as it is a real name).

Evanna's lovely! The name always reminds me of Evanna Lynch, and I think she's brilliant. Evanna Claire would be a nice combo.

I've never heard of it.I'm pronouncing it like Evan-ah, and if it IS pronounced that way, I don't see how it could mean "young warrior." Evan is a form of John, which means "Yaweh is gracious", so by extension, Evanna would have the same meaning. It sounds like the people who said this read those trendy baby name books that invent meanings for made-up names. If it is derived from Evania, and pronounced like Savannah, that would make it more feminine. Since I've never heard of it, I can't say.I think it's pretty enough, but I would never use it. I can't think of any combos at the moment-sorry.I've never heard of Evanna Lynch, either, so the association wouldn't bother me.

I would say it Ev-anna. I like it, since my husbands name is Evan... Evania is really nice too. The only thing is it kind of reminds me of Ivana, which I don't like.

I quite like Ivanna instead. Evanna looks "cheaper" to me somehow. I don't think Evanna Lynch is well known enough that anyone should not use the name. Using my list, I like:Bryony Evanna
Charmion Evanna
Mercedes Evanna
Scarlett EvannaEvanna Celandine
Evanna Constance
Evanna Lavender
Evanna Lenore
Evanna Rose
Evanna Sorrel

I think Evanna sounds generic (partly due to the popularity of Evan and other feminine -anna names) and would probably say it like Evan with an a unless told otherwise, and then I'd adapt.I do not think it is tied too closely with Evanna Lynch. Her name isn't 'too out there' or unrecognisable to be tied to anyone else.Evanna Rebecca
Evanna Claire
Evanna Melanie
Evanna Lily
Evanna Joy
Evanna Clarisse
Evanna Moira
Evanna Juliet
Evanna Irene (you know, for lots of peace)
