My new top names
I got tired of most of the names on my short list, so I did a massive overhaul. I will say this, before I post the list: I do a lot of genre-mixing. Some names may sound "classic," while others are totally "out there." You have been warned. :-)
Male:
Brendan Kelly
Harrison Remiel
James Faramund
Mark Emmanuel
Nicholas Carroll
Richard Thomas*
Robert Lachlan**
Rohan Fiachra*--honoring
**--half honoring family, half because of Robert of Locksley, a.k.a. Robin Hood
Female:
Everly Maeve
Galatea Tess
Gloria Rosamund
Godelieve Lore ("lore" as in the English word, not the German or Basque names listed)
Liana Catherine
Nefertari Leila
Philippa Sage
Sarah GillianSo... what do you think? Also, if anyone has nickname ideas for Godelieve, that would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Male:Brendan Kelly - This name flows well, and, although neither name is a favourite of mine, I find myself liking them alot when together. Good combination.
Harrison Remiel - Harrison has been growing on me lately, and Remiel is unusual but in a good way. I like this.
James Faramund - James is always a classic, and, as above, Faramund is unusual but in a good way, and it's a very strong, masculine sounding name. Big fan of this combo.
Mark Emmanuel - Love it.
Nicholas Carroll - Nicholas is a favourite of mine, but I really don't like Carroll. Sorry.
Richard Thomas - Love Thomas, but I'm hesitant about using Richard has a first name, because of the 'Dick' association.
Robert Lachlan - Really like this, two good, strong names.
Rohan Fiachra - I'd never really considered Rohan before, but I quite like it. I'm finding Fiachra a little feminine though.. maybe Rohan Thomas?Female:Everly Maeve - Interesting, I like it. I'd like it better, though, if Everely was Beverly instead, but it has a nice sound :)
Galatea Tess - Hmm, with these two, I'd like them better if they were reversed, so Tess Galatea instead of Galatea Tess. Not sure why I feel that way, but both names are nice (Especially adore Tess).

I'll comment on some of them.
Brendan Kelly - I like this. Very guy-next-door-y. And baseball-y.
Harrison Remiel - Like! Remiel really brings out the classiness in Harrison.
James Faramund - Like this a lot, too! Great sound, and nice strong, academic feel.
Nicholas Carroll - Love, my favorite combo of the list. They're so red and Christmasy and warm and snuggly together.Everly Maeve - I like Maeve, but Everly is just so made-up and trendy. Yuck. I was really surprised to see it.
Godelieve Lore - Nice, it's really hard to pair Godelieve I've found. I think I'd use the nn Liv.
Philippa Sage - Ooh, nice subdued colors in this one, and it's very pillowy.
Sarah Gillian - Love this combo, it happens to be one of mine, too! They just fit so nicely together and look great together. Such a happy, helpful, successful name.

James Faramund is absolutely fantastic. Glad to see someone else using Faramund, because I think it's brilliant.

Brendan Kelly -- Yes! Love Kelly for a boy. And it complements handsome Brendan beautifully. Harrison Remiel -- You lost me with this one.James Faramund -- Love James. Faramund is fun -- I love names from waaaaay in the past. Unfortunately, I can't get pheromones out of my head. :-(Mark Emmanuel -- Oooh, slyly handsome. Love it.Nicholas Carroll -- So I see your response to Dracotrix's comment is entitled "Nicholas Carroll = Christmas" and I can't get Christmas out of my head. Without reading your response, my gut reaction is, "so what? Christmas is a nice association and it isn't that obvious." I hope that's along the same lines as your response.Richard Thomas -- John Boy on "The Waltons." I'm dating myself with that reference.Robert Lachlan -- Wow. He can kidnap me back to his bonnie brae anytime. Rohan Fiachra -- You deserve a medal of honor for this one. Bravery times ten. Kudos. Love it. Ronan Fiachra might be less brave, but I think I like it slightly better. Everly Maeve -- Makes me think "Forever Maeve," as in the title of some cheesey romance novel. Too many "v" sounds for me anyway.

No, I don't have a problem with the Christmas ties to Nicholas Carroll. In fact it's my favorite holiday! I just hadn't noticed it before. :-)Pheromones!!! Oh, gees, that had me rolling! :-PRonan Fiachra is a great combo, but I still have to side with Rohan due to my long love affair with Lord of the Rings. :-DIn the potential nicknames you gave for Godelieve, I like Livvy and Evie the best.

I love Brendan. I like Brendan Kelly (although the combo itself is a little too Irish...)
Harrison Remiel is growing on me as I type this. It sounds like a character on something...
I like James Faramund and Mark Emmanuel- both combos I'd be willing to use.
Nicholas Carroll is very Christmasy (St. Nicholas and Carroll=Carol), but I think I like it otherwise.
Richard Thomas is too boring, but I like Richard.
Robert Lachlan is good. Nn Robin?
Rohan Fiachra is amazing and I'd totally use it.Everly Maeve is good but not something I would use.
Galatea Tess is too mismatched for me :( Galatea belongs with grand old names like Athena and Margaret; Tess belongs with sweet little girls like Sophie. Something like Alice or Anna could work with both names, but they don't seem to work with each other.
Gloria Rosamund is good. It's like morning glory and rosemary in the form of old ladies :P
Godelieve Lore is pretty awesome... I like Lore :) Godelieve is a lot of name though..
I like Liana Catherine. I could be persuaded to use it.
Same with Nefertari Leila. This one is awesome.
And same with Philippa Sage. These names DEFINITELY belong together.
Sarah Gillian is nms, but I like Sarah.

You're right, it does sound very Christmas-y.
