Roberta
WDYT? This name has never appealed to me in the past but I've found a sort of lightness in it that I really like. I like possible nns Robbie, Bobbie, Berta and Bertie as well - which would you use, if any at all, and what MN would you pair Roberta with?

Aw. I have a thing for feminized male names like Roberta. They give me the impression of a guy carrying a bouquet of flowers that are obviously intended for his sweetheart and he's just a tad shy about you looking at him. He's vulnerable.I knew a Roberta once. She was named after her father and they intended on calling her Robin which is sweet. But once around three years old she found out her "real" name was Roberta there was no chance of a nn. I don't think the parents ever intended on using Roberta but boy they got one. They were as tickled as the rest of us. Roberta Katharine / Kathryn / Kateri

Actually Roberta has been on my mind BECAUSE my mom's name is Robyn :) Her father's name was Robert and she has joked before about her mother would yell "Roberta Katherine!" when she was in trouble - even though her actual name is Robyn Kay... so it's funny that Roberta Katharine was your first suggestion :) I'm not all that keen on Robyn; I don't dislike it necessarily I can just only see it as my moms name so I thought Roberta could be a nice alternative as far as honoring goes. I quite like Roberta Lucy, Roberta Holly and Roberta Laurel, btw

I don't like it. I tend to really dislike female names that are just male names with an A tacked on the end.

I like it better than Robert which was extremely overused in my dad's generation. I like it with either Robbi or Bobbi as a nn or just as is. It's on my long list as part of a combo, but not 1 I'm planning to use personally... more as part of a list of ideas for people wanting to play w/ such things.
