I like the idea of a traditional / classic name. You really can't go wrong with them!
My thoughts:
Samuel -- probably my favorite of this list. Has a good meaning. Shortens to Sam, which is a cool nickname.
Alexander -- I like it, but it seems a bit long. Will shorten to Alex, which is nice.
George -- very nice. Strong, common without being overused. The downside: no obvious nicknames, no way of shortening it.
Arthur -- the most uncommon name on your list. Shortens to Art, which is cool.
Jack -- not a huge fan. Prefer it as a nickname for John.
