Thelma, Darlene, or Constance?
Which would you pick, if you had to pick one?
And what would you put for a middle name?(Btw, this is not for a real human baby. These are names of my female ancestors )

Constance. I love Constance, I am even coming around to the nickname Connie. I read The Mysterious Benedict Society series to use with my students and there is a character called Constance, she's a bit of a bratty kid initially, but she and the name really grew on me. Constance Marie is the first thing that comes to mind.

Darlene’s my favorite of the three, but I wouldn’t actually do that to a child; so if I had to pick I’d go with Constance, even though I don’t like it much and I like the nickname Connie even less. For the sake of laziness, I’d just throw it with a family name. Constance Michelle.

I can't get into Thelma, which is weird because I like Wilma and Alma. Constance has a pretty sound, but I'm not crazy about the meaning, I prefer more lively names.I would pick Darlene. "arl" Is my favorite group of letters that roll off the tongue nicely, plus -ene/een names deserve a comeback.Darlene Cosette
Darlene Jennifer
Darlene Mary
Darlene Paige / Page / Paget
Darlene Jemima
Darlene Renee
Darlene Amanda
Darlene Veronica
Darlene Susannah

Constance, without a doubt.I loved this name as a kid, mostly because of The Three Musketeers. Middle names for Connie (inevitable nickname) are tricky, though:Constance Ellen
Constance Eleanor
Constance Haven
Constance Aline
Constance Odette
Constance Evelyn
Constance Ottilie

I'd pick Constance. I like the sound, and it's more classic than the others. My combo: Constance Amy Adeleide.

If I had to, Constance Hazel. I'm okay with the full name, but don't care for Connie.

Definitely Constance. I like how it sounds. I have Constance Amelia Jane on my list.

I really enjoy Thelma. Constance is OK as a mn, but Con and Connie don't please me at all. Darlene is cheap and nasty, and this particular ancestor was really unlucky.Thelma Suzanne
Thelma Louise
Thelma Clare
Thelma Zoe
Thelma Annette

Darlene as long as Darla was used as a NN. Constance would be my second choice. Not a fan of Thelma.
