Well, in my family it was Cora Talitha (great-grandmother) & Cora Lee (great-aunt). There is a kind of rough poetry to Cora Talitha, but it's not a name I'd give my own child. But to each their own, and it's an honorable name. :) ~S

I like it. It's pretty, simple, practical, and sweet but not saccharine. It's also the abbreviation for common raven so it's good as an undercover bird name. It also fits any age. Cora Persephone

I love Cora. I find it very satisfying to say, hear, and look at. It's such a tidy name, it's so compact and solid while still being elegant. It's retro but also timeless, and for me its a really juicy nectarine colour, like a jacinth gemstone or a fiery sunset. For some reason, my family thinks of this as a "black" name. I don't quite understand that. That's fine, I just don't "get it" and they can't explain why they have that association. Maybe because of Coretta Scott King?Middle name ideas....Cora June

Interesting that your family thinks it's a black name. I think of it as "pale" or "pastel" and when I picture a Cora it's a pale blond girl.
