What are your thoughts on Zane as a boy's name?
Would you name any boy this?
Any combinations? I think Zane James is just a great match.Zane James Harold (for a Double MN)I'd like to hear yours.Slytherin will help you on your way to greatness!!!

I have a soft spot for Zane, I wouldn't use it myself but I enjoy hearing it. I'd pair it with something longer and traditiinal like Zane Jonathan or Zane Alexander.

I think Zane sounds like an eminently likable guy. I've met a couple. The sound itself reminds me of zany.
It seems in the style of Xander, Griffin, Thane, Wyatt, Cade, Zack, but I like it more than those. It's not a name I'd use...just because I can't imagine myself using a name with unknown meaning.I agree with other people about Zane and James sounding awkwardly alike, but I like Zane Harold a lot.Zane Gilbert
Zane Merlin
Zane Prometheus
Zane Meriwether
Zane Walter
Zane Yaromir
Zane Raphael

I like it. It was on my favorites for a long time. Then there was some celeb named Zayn ... I'm unfamiliar, but the existence of a mononymous celebrity Zayn put me off the name Zane as a baby name. I don't think of Zane as the same name, but it sounds the same and I don't like that people might hear it as the same. I agree with Kaesy it's got a cowboy vibe, but also seems meant to be "cool" ... maybe because of the Z. I'd be willing to name a boy Zane. and I'd think it was interesting on a boy or young man. But it wouldn't be near the top of my baby name list. I think Zane James is too much of an almost-rhyme and invites accidental spoonerisms (Zame Janes, Jane Zames etc). I'd only use a combo like that if I were just super committed to the middle name and didn't care about flow. Which happens. Zane Harold James >> Zane James Harold.combos with names from my list
Zane Derek
Zane Marshall
Zane Vincent
Zane Virgil
Zane Rhydian
Zane Ivor

I like the name Zane a lot. But Zane James runs together way too much! Sounds like your saying Jane James. Maybe it would sound better with something like this...Zane Jericho
Zane Jasper
Zane Jensen
Zane Jeremiah
Zane Joshua
Zane Jordan

I have never liked the name Zane. It is one of my least favourite names. It reminds me too much of the word insane. Zane James is too rhyme-y. Zane feels ultra youthful while Harold feels like a nursing home name. I do like Harold though.

Zane is simultaneously cool dude and cowboy, which is an interesting vibe. It's not my style but I don't hate it or anything. Zane James is far to repetitive sounding though, they don't sound good together at all.

It's...fine. I guess I just don't have strong feelings either way. I certainly don't dislike it. But I doubt I'd use it myself. Zane James sounds awfully rhymey to me.
