What variant names do you like?
What names that are variants do you like? Not counting variant names that are the most common spelling (example Connor is a variant of Conor, but more popular)My favorite is Marlee and Arianne I like these much more than Marley and Ariane! What do you think of Marlee?“The more times and the more different things you do, the more likely it is that you succeed.” -Brian Tracy

I prefer the names' original versions, like Paisley than Paisleigh, Alicia than Aleeaha, etc. (doesn't mean I hate them all). I think I'm a name conservative lol. There are some exceptions though; I like the variant when it is spelled and pronounced quite distinctively (like McKayla than Michaela), or names from other culture (like Roxanne than Roxane).I'm sorry but I don't like Marlee.

I'm with you about Marlee. Marley is nmsaa (too Bob, and too movie-dog) but if it's like (actress) Marlee Matlin? Mar- + Lee? It's neat.I like Alys, but dislike Alice.I like Marc, don't really care for Mark.Like Gillian, dislike JillianLike Vivien, don't care for Vivienne or Vivian f.I like Audra a lot more than Audrey (if that counts as a variant)Like Alison, dislike Allison. Alison is the original, so I'm not sure you'd count that one, but Allison is now more popular in the USI like the pronunciation of Anna as AH-na, don't like AN-na nearly as much.more
