Isabella
Isabella is a name that I somewhat liked since I first became interested in names, but it was a bit too popular for me to really like it. However, this name has been growing on me recently and Isabella is now one of my favorites in spite of its popularity. What do you think of this name?

I hated both Isabella and Isabelle at first, but I really like both now. They are popular here in Australia too.

I love the name Isabella. It's a form of Elizabeth, also a favorite of mine. I love it and I'm going to use it some day for sure. I also LOVE the name Ella, and obviously you can't use Ella and Isabella as siblings, so I intent on naming a daughter Isabella nn Ella.

It is a very beautiful classic name and that is why it is so popular.

I'm starting to react violently to it.As in, my feelings are violent. This name and its close-sounding variants have seriously made it to the top of my "names I can't stand list." The list so far is Isabel(le, la, etc), Gabrielle, Esmaralda, Lilah, and Beatrice. It's a pretty refined list. I just don't like it, not one bit.

It's too frilly for me, and way too popular. I do like Arabella, though, but not enough to use. I like Isabel/Isobel but they're also too popular. :-/

It's completely nouveau-yuppie for me, so I'm going to have to give it a pass (and a shudder).Array

Yawn.Sorry, but I'm so tired of seeing this! It's lost any appeal it once had for me.

It's classic and feminine... the only think not to like about it is the popularity in my opinion.

I like it all right, but I don't find it particularly attractive. I think I prefer Isabel myself. It's a nice name though--shame it's so popular.

Honestly?I see a screaming, whining toddler or a very spoiled little rich girl. Not my kind of name at all.

Too long and frilly. And it looks unbalanced to me. I don't like the Bella part (which is strange as I like the name Bella). And it looks like "is a bell", which is very amusing as the only other name I can think of right now that starts with Isa- is Isadora (is a door), and if you put them together you get "is a door bell".

I used to love this name, but I'm honestly now very tired of it, even though it's not overly trendy. Technically, I do still think it's pretty, but it's no longer a favourite of mine. I prefer the less-used forms of the name, like Isabel and Isobel.

I really like it. I feel the same way about Olivia- I like it and I'm totally bummed out about it being so popular. :PWhat about Isobela?Edited to add that it is so hard to imagine classic and old-fashioned Isabella and Olivia being the millenium equivalent to Caitlyn and Madison. Now I know how my mom felt when she named me Britney in 1983. Bummer.Britney Tamber

I definately feel the same way as you. It's a really pretty name but also a bit too popular for my taste. If I were to have a kid right now, I would stay away from it; but if it were to loose popularity by the time I gave birth, I would certainly give it much consideration.*laurel*

I think it's rather pretty, but I wouldn't use it. It's too "Queen Isabella" for me. :-) http://www.GlitterMaker.com/ - Glitter Graphics
