Coline now competes in international show jumping full-time, and is even preparing for her first Olympics next year; she met her current boyfriend on the international competition scene. He competes in dressage (so, luckily, they aren’t direct rivals) and, much to her mother’s disdain, is a minor member of the Belgian royal family. Coline insists that it’s no big deal and really it’s just atechnicality because his dad is the King’s nephew. Holly’s not entirely convinced, but she can’t deny that the young man conducted himself impeccably at her recent wedding to Thomas — a quiet affair which took place only on the understanding that Holly would keep her own surname.
Livia and Dorian, meanwhile, have a new step-father, as Safa remarried two years ago to a well-to-do heart surgeon. As the twins spend the majority of their time with Thomas, they don’t see an awful lot of this new husband, but they get on well enough with their new step-brother.

His surname is a Dutch surname which is not an occupational surname, and he often goes by a short nickname derived from his first and/or middle names.
Safa’s DH’s first name is an English name which is uncommon but not unheard of, his middle name is a place name, and his surname is in the top 100 most common in England and Wales.
Safa’s DH’s DS’s first name is the name of a famous mathematician or scientist, his middle name ends in a vowel, and he has his father’s surname.
