Note: I changed where
Hank's nickname was placed to be in the same as all the others.

In the last three years, some pretty exciting (and mostly good) things have happened in the Von Hopf-Karmody family.
Soon after
Lottie's birth,
Ken was advanced a grade to E-8, Senior Chief Petty Officer. Not too long after that, he finalized a contract for a computer-operated tracking system he had been fine-tuning for years.
Savannah became a partner at her law firm around the same time of
Ken's new contract.
Katie Rose continued to take her karate lessons, and true to her words started showing
Addy moves as soon as she could. When
Katie Rose turned 9 at the end of third grade, it was discussed and decided that she would skip 4th grade entirely and head straight to 5th the next year.
Ken built her a custom computer for a surprise present upon hearing about her grades.
Hank, despite being pretty young himself, has been the epitomy of the overprotective big brother. Now that he is 7 and
Addy is 5 and in the same school, he watches out for her on the playground when he's not playing with her himself. He's also shown interest in swimming, and so has joined a swim team during the summer.
Ken and
Savannah are observing his interest level and may soon allow him to join a more competitive yearly squad if it continues.
Addy is already showing signs of being a lot like her namesakes, Uncle
Sammy and Uncle
Johnny. She has gained Uncle
Sammy's chocoholic tendencies and his energy level. From Uncle
Johnny, she has already started learning a few other languages, though with her slight mispronounciations it's still hard to understand her.
Lottie was a quiet baby, which was shocking because her siblings were all so high energy. It was a wonder that she slept through the night as quickly as she did with all the noise in the house. Now that she's 3,
Lottie is in a "Ballerinas are pretty" phase and wants to start lessons. However, she's also in a "Pink is yucky" phase and much prefers green like her stuffed frog she's had since birth.
A family update wouldn't be complete without introducing the newest little one in the family. Joining his big sisters and brother, is newborn
Leopold Alexander Mackenzie, or "
Leo".
Ken and
Savannah decided to let
Hank choose the first name off a list this time.
Addy got to choose one of the middle names, and she chose
Alexander after
Savannah's uncle
Alex (
Papa Karl's twin brother). It also fits the SEAL/teammate theme as one of the men is Chief
Alexander "Big Mac" MacInnough. The second middle name,
Mackenzie does double duty as well. It is both after
Ken himself (its literal meaning) and in honor of a friend,
Gordie MacKenzie of the British SAS, who was killed on a mission a year before
Leo's birth.
