[Opinions] Helena
What do you think of Helena? Do you prefer Helen? I love both and am trying to narrow down my list a bit as my due date is quickly approaching. I've always pronounced it hel-AY-nuh and prefer it to HEL-en-uh. What kind of vibe does Helena give you? Who would make a good twin for Helena?

I pronounce it Hel-ay-nuh as well. I love it. It has more character than Helen. Good twin names:
Helena and Claire
Helena and Delilah
Helena and Thomas
Helena and Julian

I pronounce it He-len-uh. I prefer it pronounced like that. It is very nice.

I've been pronouncing it HEL-en-uh... maybe that's why it makes me think of Helena, Montana. Although I do like it more than Helen.

I don't really like the names Helena and Helen but Helena is the nicer of the two. I pronounce it HEL-en-uh because the only Helena I know pronounces it that way.For twins how about:
Helena and Adela
Helena and Celia
Helena and Elsa
Helena and Charlotte
Helena and Juliet
Helena and Anna
Helena and Corinne
Helena and StefaniaHelena and Anthony
Helena and Frederick
Helena and Graham
Helena and Raphael
Helena and Lincoln
Helena and Nathaniel
Helena and Alexander

I like Helena as much as I dislike Helen. It looks complete to me, more feminine with less of an emphasis on the 'hel' part of the name. I slightly prefer HEL-en-a but most of the ones I've known (not that many) pronounced it he-LAY-na.Twin for Helena:Alexandra
Cassandra
Callista
Corinna
Daphne
Charlotte
Laura
Lydia
Marina
Penelope
Rosemary
Sophia
Serena

Helena...is better than Helen. But I like Elena or Eleni even more.Maybe Helena and Sophia for twins? Both names have Greek origin, and go nicely together.

I LOVE Helena! I also prefer hel-AY-na over he-len-ah. Helena Josephine is my favorite combo. Good twin names...hmmm... How about Gertrude, Amelie, Lilia, or Thalia?

I admire Helena, though I love and strongly prefer Helene (-LAYN).

Helena is a handsome name. I don't like Helen as much because it sounds more dated. For twins, Henry and Helena would be nice. I also like Edward and Helena or Lucius and Helena.

I don't like either one. I think they're a little too old-fashioned, but that's just me.
