This is my niece's name, although she goes by Mira. She's not fat, she doesn't wear glasses and while she deals with acne it's not prominent. She dislikes Miranda, though.I personally do like Miranda. I think it's a sweet name.

I love Miranda. It used to be in my Top Ten 3 to 5 years ago. These days I slightly prefer Mira.I knew identical twins named Miranda and Allison Smith in elementary school. Allison was the worst bully in the school with Alyson Buck being second worst. Miranda would sometimes physically bully me but she was also sometimes nice to me. Then in college I ran into Miranda again, she was still quiet but she was nice. She also seemed very depressed and bored, she was often sarcastic, liked metal music, and always had on a band T-shirt with a black background. I briefly ran into another Miranda in college, she seemed very friendly.Miranda had very pale skin, was very thin, with a lot of freckles, hazel eyes, and when she was younger she had fairly red auburn hair. When I saw her again in college her hair had become dark brown. I usually picture Miranda's having auburn hair and Hazel or green eyes.Combos:
Miranda Hazel
Miranda Willow
Miranda Myrtle
Miranda Glenys
Miranda Gladys
Miranda Judith
Miranda Edith
Miranda Evelyn
Miranda Estelle
Miranda Celeste
Miranda Ceridwen

I can't say that I like this name. But this is mainly due to the fact that it reminds me too much of the brand of soft drink "Mirinda" (Type Orange drink)
Mirinda has been owned by PepsiCo since 1970 & is primarly commercialized throughout Europe.
It competes with Coca-Cola's Fanta or Sunkist brands.
Here, girls are actually called Fanta or Pepsi-Carola with FN's, worse luck! So, well thenMiranda Belén

I love it! I even used it for the main character in one of my stories.

I love Miranda - it's my sister's name. She's Miranda Rowan, which I've always thought is lovely

I adore Miranda. It's shimmering and lovely. The downside: I don't care for Randi. I'm not good at combos, but I do know I think it would sound best with a one-syllable middle name. Miranda June is good IMO.

Miranda is one of my favorite names, and has been for years. I love it. It's a recognizable name but not overly popular - in fact, I've never met someone with the first name Miranda (only people with the surname Miranda, which as far as I know has a different etymology). Some combos:Miranda Bernadette
Miranda Catharine
Miranda Charis
Miranda Florence
Miranda Jacqueline
Miranda Josephine
Miranda Julienne
Miranda Juliet (if you don't mind overt Shakespeare references)

Miranda Sheridan
Miranda Violet
Miranda Vivian
Miranda Vivienne

Miranda Margaret - sounds better than Margaret Miranda, somehow
Nerine Miranda
Penelope Miranda
Ruth Miranda
Suzette Miranda
Topsy Miranda
Vickie Miranda - Vickie is honouring, and I'm glad to avoid two names with -a endings so Victoria wouldn't have featured.

I've never liked it. I've never met one, I don't think, but I get this strong picture of a fat, pimply girl with frizzy red hair and thick, smudgy glasses who goes around lugging some oversize copy of a classic to show off, but may or may not have actually read it.
