Okay, give me your wild and crazy hypothetical sibsets. (m)
There was some discussion below about fantasy names and names you would use IRL, so I thought I would ask what you would name a sibset- three boys, three girls- if you didn't have to worry about whether the names were usable, liked by your partner, or realistic in ANY way. So, which names would you choose?I probably won't have as interesting a list as others, but here is mine...Sequoia
Balthazar
WolfgangVladimira
Odile
Argentina (hey, it has a pretty sound, okay!?)
Willoughby wolloughby willina, an elephant sat on Billina.
Willoughby wolloughby wirfak, an elephant sat on Mirfak.

Ferdinand, Demetrius, and Octavian are nice and possibly usable. Mnemosyne is mystically lovely but harder to pull off.

Just three per gender? Hrmph.Hedwig, Artemisia, and Olympia. Valentine, Rex, and Zephyr.

You can name three more for each gender, if you want. :)

I would use Amadeus as a middle name, and Evander is usable and handsome.

I would totally use old man names that are way too attached to particular people to use in real life. For girls I would use names that I don't have the guts to use because 1) I don't have any of that ancestry or 2) they are just gutsy names. Ichabod & Icarus (twins, naturally)
Ebenezer
Evinrude
Lazarus
Archimedes
Caratacus
PrometheusEsmeralda
Esperanza
Viatrix
Guadalupe

RufusSage=boyI guess this isn't exactly cray so much as when my hipster/creativity/warm color synesthesia is waxing. Right now I am in a cool color waning phase.

Oh my goodness, I love this set so much! I am totally "hipster" when it comes to names obviously!!

Some of these are usable by themselves, but the themes make them too OTT for sibs.Sage
Sylvan
Sterling
Sunday
Sonnet
SnowI actually prefer Sage for a girl, but there aren't a lot of S- word names for boys that I like.

I don't think your male names are all that crazy. If you want to use them, I would! But, we all have our comfort zone, so I understand.
vote up1
Haha, I mostly agree, but that's about as crazy as I get when it comes to boy names. :-p I'd love to use Santiago if I ever have children with a Spanish speaker or move to a Spanish-speaking country.

I happened to meet a little Bethlehem once, but when asked if she went by "Beth" her parents said no. I would have never thought it usable until I met one in real life.

Bethlehem is really quite lovely as a name. :)

Today mine would be: Posy
Matisse
BlossomElvis
Shepherd
TexTbh I wouldn't be scared to use any of the above names! I think they are all great.
vote up1
I love Posy. I learned it can be a nickname for Josephine.
I know a little toddler named Blossom. She is Hmong. I like Shepherd as well! When I was a teenager I really liked the nickname Tex. It was rugged.
vote up1
I love Elvis! I thought I was the only person in the world who thinks this is totally usable :)
vote up1
hahaI read Posy as Pony! :P lol
