Domineering Patriarch
Need names for a domineering father who expects capitulation from every member of his family. Uses manipulation, expensive gifts and emotional gimmicks to try and bribe his children, is very distant to his wife and expects her to remain happy and content as the trophy wife of a rich man. All I got so far are... Should have a Latin (Classical or otherwise) backgroundLucian/ Lucius
Andrew
Lionel
Julius
Caesar
Edward
Marcellus
Gervase

Lionel came to mind before I saw it on your list, mostly because you seem to be describing Lionel Luthor. ;) Lucius is another obvious choice, but Lucian would probably be better to avoid him seeming like an obvious copy of Lucius Malfoy. Of your list, I like Lucian best. :)Other possibilities:Marcus / Marcellus
Emil
Ahab
Cephas
Alexander
Darius / Dario
Gaius / Caius
Cassius
Hadrian
Silas
Octavius / Octavian

Definitely Andrew.

I picture this character having an Old Testament Hebrew name...*sigh*Maybe Andrew, from your list. Or, yeah, Lucius. Not Lucian, and Caesar is too much.
How about Ignatius? Leon? Victor?

Out of all your options, I'd pick Lucius. It's the most sinister sounding (sorry to any Lucius out there, just talking about the context of the story).
Someone recently talked about a domineering father character and gave Cesare as an option, which fit there because of heritage. But I'm not feeling the more obvious Julius or Caesar here.
Lucius is kind of grand if you think about the meaning too. But the sound alone is good for the part anyway.
