I love this name/names. In fact it is one of my top three girl's names.
As most everyone else I pronounce Imogen IM-uh-jun and Imogene IM-uh-JEEN.
My only problem is I can't decide which one I prefer. I lean slightly toward Imogen.

Imogen: IH-moh-jen
Imogene: IH-moh-jeen
I really hate them both, but if I had to pick, I'd say Imogen.

I pronounce them differently. Imogen as EM-mah-jen and Imogene as EM-o-jeen or EYE-mo-jeen (I knew a little girl whose mother pronounced it the second way, but she goes by "Jean"). I don't care for Imogene much, but I love Imogen.

I pronounce Imogen IH-mo-gen and Imogene ih-moh-JEENI like Imogen, not Imogene, but I prefer Innogen (the original spelling I think)Alice

Also...I did a poll on whether people pronounce Imogen and Imogene the same or differently on the 26th March 2005. Only 5 out of 32 said they pronounced them the same. http://www.behindthename.com/polls/view.php?id=36621

Imogen = IM-o-jen
Imogene = IM-o-jeenI like them both. A lot. But I think I prefer Imogene. I seem to be the only person here that does! They sound a lot like Emma Jane and Emma Jean, which are nice. They also sound a bit like 'imagine', but I still really like them.I wonder if one or other pronounciation and spelling is more popular/originated in different countries? I see Imogen is quite popular in England, Wales and Australia but there are no stats for Imogene in those countries. And Imogene was reasonably popular in the USA in the first half of the 20th century, but there are no stats for Imogen being used in the USA. So is Imogene the Americanised version of Imogen maybe?

I pronounce Imogen as IM-oh-jen and Imogene as IM-oh-jeen. I prefer Imogen over Imogene but both are nms. As a child, I did name a doll Imogene though.

I pronounce Imogen IM-o-jen and Imogene IM-o-jeen. I like both but Imogene is a family name so if I were to ever use one, it would probably be that form.

I pronounce them the same way. I don't care for the name (I find it ugly looking and sounding), but I choose the spelling Imogen, but both spellings look "off" to me.

I like Imogen, but not Imogene. I'd be tempted to pronounce Imogene, Im-o-JEEN, which I don't like the sound of. I pronounce Imogen, im-o-JEN.

I-mo-jen and I-mo-jeen. I usually don't say things like this, but I hate both names with a passion (and I'm probably the only person who does..). Neither sounds feminine to me and Imogen just sounds synthetic, like it belongs to a software company or something. Sorry for the rant..

I like Imogen better. Imogene reminds me of a in a book I read: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. "Dance like no one's watching."

I prefer Imogen but they are both okay

1. To me, Imogen = IM-ojen and Imogene = IM-o-jeen
2. I like them both
3. I prefer Imogen, because it sounds nicer to me and is the older form. I also like the very original form, Innogen (Imogen was created by a printing typo that was never corrected).

I prn them IM-o-jen (Imogen) and IM-o-jeen (Imogene). I don't care for either of them, but I think I like Imogen just a smidgen more.

I pron. Imogen with hard g, even if it's wrong. Imogene I pron. properly, like Imo and Gene.
I prefer Imogen. And like it, it's on my list. Wouldn't use it though.
