What do you think of Sophia/Sofia? Is it boring? What middle names do you like with it? I find it so difficult to match with anything.
I'm glad it's popular because I like meeting Sophias, but it can be confusing and there are no nicknames really. It's my favourite name right now but I would love to hear if you dislike it because people are usually pretty positive about it.

I love Sofia and plan to name my second daughter Ana-Sofia (honors my grandmother and me).
We don't use middle names, so I've never really bothered with Sofia, but how about:

I think Sophia / Sofia is beautiful and elegant and I love the meaning, however, having not loved it before its current trendiness, I've grown tired of it. If I had loved it all along, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Don't be afraid to use it. Just pair a more unusual middle with it so Sophia can choose to be called that if the popularity annoys her.

My daughters name is Sofia Eve. Of course I love the name! My daughter is nine and it wasn't overly popular at the time. I think I would have used it even if it was though, because I find it to be a timeless name that works well on the young and old ( think Sophia Loren). It also has a feminine, soft, classic feel to it, which is what I love in a girls name.

It's nice, but I'm beginning to get bored with it because I see it quite often. I love the meaning, and I like the name itself, but "trendy" girls' names bore me fairly quickly.

It's usually shortened to Sophie, but I know a red-headed Sophia who is known as Fia (like Fire without the R).
I'd like to like it more than I do: I find Sophia rather pompous and Sophie rather too cute and trite. And I greatly dislike the so-FEE-a pronunciation, except in a language where that is the only option.
