Out of curiosity... what would you say is the best, or more interesting, name you've ever heard on a real life person? Has to be someone you've heard of or met; can't be a celebrity or book character. First and middle name if you can!
Personally I'm gonna go with Piper Nyx, a high school classmate. I'm not crazy about it nor would I use it, but it's definitely not the kind of thing you hear every day. There was also a boy named Bram in the same class, which I really like and had never heard before.

I saw a baby where I used to work and her name was Liliana. To me, that's pretty cool. I don't know her middle name.

I know a girl with a name which I love because it is so unusual: Mystika. I also know a boy named Maverick ( he is a maverick!), and a girl named Lelah (Croatian version of Leila), as well as Aretha (a Greek spin-off). My sister is named Dabney, which I love.
I have noticed people come up with more unusual names for girls than for boys. Take Blue Ivy, for instance. Poor guys! But then, I think girls prefer more imaginative names.

Šeherezada - a lady at work, about 40 (I've also met at least one more)
Teofil - a little boy of about 4
Bonaventura - a baby of a girl that went to my high school
Bono -he's about 3, named after the saint, not the singer
Grga - my 2-year-old neighbour
Adalbert - a teacher at Uni
Thanos - a Greek guy, 25

My first babysitter was named Cressida, and her older brother was named Orpheus. That's hardcore.
There was also a Zelda Lillie, which I think is flapperific, born to a couple at my church a few years ago.

Jzero was pronounced "juh-ZAIR-oh" and Kyzyl was basically "Kizzle", rhyming with "sizzle". And they were both white middle class guys with no obvious ethnic associations. I think their parents were just really alternative or something.

Zinnia Clea Andrea - It would be a lot better if it was just Zinnia Clea. At least it would have been cooler.
Llyn - this is a friend of mine. It's pronounced like Lynn, and I don't like the Lynn spelling. And according to her, Llyn isn't a made up spelling or something, but a name (or a part of a name?) for something in welsh (might have been a railway or something? I'd have to ask her!)
James Henricus Gilbert - he and I was in the same class in school. Until he moved :P James Henricus might be the coolest thing I've heard. I don't mind Gilbert, but the combo would have been SO much better without it.

llyn = Welsh word for lake. It isn't pronounced like lynn though.:)

I think it was the railway. I think she saw it was a part of a railway name, so Tal-y-llyn makes sense

I swear I heard a mom call her young (toddler) son, "Rutherford" recently. My mother once had a student named Shoshana and I met my first real life Allegra this year.
Some "one-time-occurrence" classmates/students I've met (all in their mid-20s) = Kingsley, Lalana, Blossom, Domini (female, like "Dominique" without the 'k' sound at the end), Midori, Koral (m), Jericka, Jerusha, Tiger (f), Demetria, Renata, Octavia, Florence, Taber (m)...
And I have legitimately met a La'Sparkle - not at all the best but interesting nonetheless.

I know a girl named Cambrie which I always really liked. I have a friend named Zoe Adeline and always thought that was a really pretty combo. My friend has a daughter named Zoe Ananda, I really love that. I also met an Agatha and a Drusilla and even though I wouldn't use their names I though they were pretty cool.

I know two sisters called Darcy Nissa and Niamh Polly and I think those are some of the best names ever. I also know a girl called Alexia. I think that's a really pretty name and it suits her really well. I'd never heard of it before knowing her.

Nikita "Nikki" (girl). I've also met a woman named Yulandis (yoo-land-dis) which was definitely interesting. I recently met a little Freya. I didn't really like the name before but it's starting to grow on me now. I also know a girl who pronounces her name Kay-bree-ah-na I think it is spelled Kaybrianna but it could be Kabrianna or Kabryanna. Her parents call her Kabry (kay-bree). Again not sure on the spelling. It could be Kaybrie/Kaybry/Kabrie. Anyway I really like how it sounds which is wierd because I don't particularly care for Brianna.
