Re: Sibling Name

I do think Beth is too much: too close to Ben and too doomed-sister with Meg.
Clare, that spelling, would be good. Rosie names are everywhere, and Grace and Hope sink my boat rather than float it. Would you really add yet another Cate/Kate/Caitlin/Katelyn person to an already overloaded planet?
I prefer Alec to the more common Alex and would be happy to see it. Jonathan and Samuel both seem flabby and slimy to me. John with an h would be refreshing. Theodore is nice and Theo is good. So is Ted, but Teddy is too bear and too babyish. Patrick is very nice, but I notice there's no nn. Hard to escape Pat! I like it on a boy, actually, but loathe it as a nn for Patricia.
What about Ruth as a girl possibility? Beatrice? Eve? Anne? (Anne could be Nancy!)
For a boy, Timothy? Tim is good. I'd also use Thomas, nn Tom, or William or Daniel.
