I think all of those names sound find with Smith. Smith is a good last name to have as it suits almost any first name :)
My favourites from your list are Evan and Jonah. They are handsome but not far too common.
Jacob is a lovely name but is incredibly common, especially to go with a very common surname. Jacob has been in the top 10 in the US for about 20 years, and was number 1 for a very long time. There will be millions of people called Jacob Smith.
Roger is the only one I don't like as it sounds a bit old in my opinion - the only Roger I know is in his 80s. However, plenty of "old fashioned" names are getting more popular, so it could well be that Roger is coming up next!
