Re: What are you grandmothers’ names and would you honor them?
Your grandmothers had beautiful names :)My grandmothers were Charlotte Anne (maternal - nickname was Char, said like Shar) and Rhoda Beatrice (paternal - nickname was Rhodey)My sister gave her oldest the name Cordelia Anne and her youngest the name Charlotte Laurel (nickname Charlie), both after our maternal grandmother (and mother). We knew her very well, she passed fifteen years ago now so never got to meet my sister's kids. Our paternal grandmother died in 1978, years before either of us were born. I wish I could have met her. My parents gave me Rhoda as one of my middle names, after her. I would use both, though obviously I'd never name a kid Charlotte, since my sister did that first. I would use it still as a middle name though. I don't think I'd use Anne, I just find it too boring and it's such a go-to mn. I love Rhoda and Beatrice and would use as a fn or mn. Two of my favorite name combos:Eseld Charlotte Ourania and Zella Rhoda TheodosiaI've always really liked the name Beatrice too, I like the nn Bee or Triss, but it's never made my top 25 before. But definitely one I'd offer up as an option to a potential partner, if we were seriously discussing it.
My PNLs = http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/37275My ↑ Faves: Remy and Eseld

I love Rhoda! I'm glad you do too, it has a bad rap.Your combos are amazing, wowza.
Yes! I love knowing I'm not the only one who sees its beauty :) Plus she was a fire cracker according to my dad, and a lot like me. He loved her a lot and I get to feel that love through him, since I wasn't lucky enough to meet her.
