Much has happened in the last five years. Margot, Joshua's wife, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer about two years after Claude was born. The disease progressed too quickly and she died when Claude was three. Joshua lost his faith, but in grief counseling he met Clara, who had recently lost her husband. They are taking it slow. Holden proposed to Sarah when he graduated two years ago. Sarah finally decided to go into family law like Shoshanna had. She had wanted to wait until she graduated college and before she started law school. They are getting married this summer. Ari is working on his masters now at MIT in Physics. He met Rory last summer when she came out for freshman orientation. She's a physics major as well. Teddy is about to graduate from high school and is planning on doing the Europe/Israel trip like Joshua did. Of course, he's assured Ilan and Shoshanna that he won't go Orthodox like Joshua did, but they just want him to have a good time. Teddy has been dating Chloe since junior year when they went to homecoming together. She isn't Jewish, and Teddy isn't sure if there is a future, but she may go on the Europe/Israel trip with him. Leah has been thriving in regular school! She does have to take more time in some of her classes, but so far she's been pulling a B average! She even ran for 8th grade Vice President and won! Ilan and Shoshanna are so happy that the kids at the school are so accepting of her. Snowball is loving his home with the Stein's. He's a little overweight right now since Leah likes to reward him all the time. Ilan is planning on retiring in a year or two.
