I love it. I might use it as a nickname for Elspeth or as a full name with Elsie as a nickname. I think it's simple and pretty but a little more unusual than Ellie and Ella which are really common and boring.

I think it is a beautiful name :) Madeleine, Caroline, Maria, Primrose, Genevieve, Magdalena, Mathilde / Mathilda, Olivia, Violet, I think would all make good middle names.

I love Elsa! It's so charming and homespun. I would seriously consider it for my own daughter.

I think it is sweet but very old fashioned. I do think it works on a baby/child today though. It fits in with the El- trend (Ella, Ellie, Eleanor, etc) and the short but feminine name trend (Mia, Leah, Ava).

My friend is called Elsa. I think it's a beautiful name. Her middle name was Rose.

I've loved Elsa and Elsie for decades. Literally. It's been a mystery to me why it hasn't become more popular with the rise of old fashioned names, and names with an "el" sound in them. Elsa is musical, elegant but still friendly, not complicated. I see no down-side to the name. It's a top tenner for me, especially with the nn Elsie.
