[Opinions] Cora
WDYT? MN suggestions for it? This spelling, Cora, is pretty much unchangeable for me because it is a play on my current LN (Corra).I've liked it on and off, and in class the other day, my teacher set up a story for us to complete, and the one main female character was named this. Of course, everyone was like, wait, isn't that your last name? But I explained that it's spelled differently.Anyway, this is important because I think it would be a nice way to "carry on" the name and honor my father's side of the family. Mikey likes it. So, thoughts?

I once hated it, now I love it.Cora is just a very sweet name to me, and its nice that it honors you. I'd spell it Corra, though, to honor your family. :-) Corra Emmeline is lovely to me.

I have a love/hate relationship with Emmeline. I loved it until a girl I knew used it for her daughter born last fall. Now it's invaded our area, and it just doesn't have the same appeal, ya know?

It is my great-Aunt's name (grandfather's sister). I like it, it sounds very "Greatest Generation"-ish.

My great-grandmother's name was Cora Susan. WDYT of Cora Susanna or Cora Suzanne? I think they flow a little better than Cora Susan.

I agree. I think Cora Suzanna flows well. Thanks :)

Cora is very pretty and I love that it's a variant spelling of your maiden name. It's a great way to honor yourself and your family. Even spelling it as Corra when you're married would sound nice. You could use Cora / Corra Lynn to honor yourself as well, or possibly Cora / Corra Adelle since it's your favorite name. Cora / Corra Sofia sounds very pretty as well.

Your sig is pretty. Thank you, but I think it looks misspelled as Corra. I/she would have to explain it all the time, and I think I would rather it be a family thing than an advertisement, you know what I mean? But that you for the suggestions. :)

Lucille is really nice with it, and Mikey's grandmother is Lucy, so that would be a nice way to incorporate both families. Thanks for the idea! :)

I love the name and I particularly love that it is special to your family. Coralie and Cordelia are other similar names that I am fond of that I would consider the name Cora a nn for.
Cora Julianne would be beautiful (saw Julianne in your PNL). ----Betsy-----

I like Cordelia, too, but since the future LN is Bartholomew, I've been trying to steer away from longer FN and use the longer stuff in the middle. Cora Julianne is pretty, and I appreciate that thougthfulness that you considered my PNL! :)

I like Cora, and Cora is the spelling I prefer. I've always liked it although the intensity of "likeness" ebbs and flows. It's a nice name and the fact that you feel it helps honor your family is simply a bonus.EDIT: I forgot mn suggestions!
