Sexiest Male Name.
Just curious. Not so much a baby naming question, obviously. You have to only designate ONE name as the sexiest.I'm wondering if anyone would pick the same choice as me. I'll let you know if you do, but I doubt it.

Raphael looks sexy, until you meet one who's six.
Alas.I think Julian and Alexander are pretty sexy. Funny, I think I'd be saying Julia and Alexandra for sexiest women's names in Billina's thread too.Brandon is also a sexy name. (sorry but, it is)

Can I still play?Maybe not much point, since all I'm going to do is echo a couple of other people and say James. For a male name to be sexy to me, it must be short and to the point, one syllable. Another example of a male name I find sexy is Cole.

Alexander. So handsome and sophisticated.

DanteThough I don't like Italian men...

ReallyDante is Dante Alighieri , and I wouldn't say he was very sexy...

Actually...Ignoring the terrifying stalker crush he had on Beatrice, which would make any sane woman want to avoid him like the plague, actually he was quite the stud. It's well documented that he was a massive womanizer and far from as virtuous as he wanted his lady loves to be. So yeah, apparently he was quite sexy by his day's standards. Still weird and a bit of an arse, but tons of ladies fell for his charms it would seem...

Santiago (m)...Something about the name, and how it's pronounced, is incredibly sexy to me.

For some reason Raoul came to mind. Not sure why as the only one I've known - despite stunning good looks - had the sense of humour of a 6-yr-old, which was a bit off-putting.

I have nothing to say about this but my friend Amanda says Gregory. Not Greg, but Gregory. And Liam. (I say no, Amanda, Liam is the name of a suburban 3-year-old, but does she listen? no.)And she thinks that this reliant on the name itself rather than an association from someone she wants to bang. The names are bangable unto themselves.

Viggo was the first that came to mind.

Is this influenced by Mr. Mortensen? Just curious - I don't think I would have known its provenance or pronunciation if it wasn't for Lord of the Rings.
vote up1
It most certainly is. I havent seen the name used on anyone else other than one of the Hanson brothers kids but it is a strong, masculine and attractive name. I love it, plus Mortensen is sexy as hell.

CarlosDon't know why, but that is very much the one and only name that came to my mind.

Llewella wins, because I would have said Raphael. Hahahaha. Oh, Llewella.

I'm curiousDoes changing the spelling to Rafael affect the sexiness?
vote up1
Well...I do know a Rafael and he is quite sexy. :) Guess not!
vote up1
I actually almost put Raphael / Rafael. I think the sexiness isn't much affected, although Raphael seems more sophisticated to me.

Horatio.*swoons*

Michael (just Michael, not Mike or any other nns).

Alexander, with Jack as a runner up.

AlanDefinitely Alan

I think Alan is such a nerd name! But I also think Bruce is, despite the fact that it's Batman's real name and was used for the incredibly sexy love object of Amber in the novel "Forever Amber."

Totally agree, spelling and all!
vote up1
Really? Takes all types I guess..
vote up1
DittoI find Alan decidedly unsexy.

RichardIsn't it kind of sleazy? Richard. Richard. That's my pick. I also have a very specific, very attractive image of William in my head, but I think that's more the name for the image rather than the image for the name, if that makes sense. I work midnights, I have a lot of time to indulge my imagination. :-)ETA: Jason is also a name I would call sexy. That is definitely influenced by association for me.

hard to answer, but if I can only pick one name ...And it won't be my husband's because it's impossible to be unbiased that way ...
Dustin.

I wonder what causes people to attracted or not attracted to a name.
I have actually been interested in someone before and disappointed because his name was Dustin and that was a turn off for me.
However, it's clearly the opposite for you.
Now I want to know what determines that perception.

I know a Dustin who is scarily good-looking, and I mean, the kind of good-looking that makes you want to turn your head and stare. I saw him and registered his good looks before I learned his name, but I can't remember if I thought the name was sexy or if it fitted him or what. I know I always have liked the name. There was a Dustin in school with me and he was nice-looking, but I don't remember much else about him except he jumped up in the air trying to tap the exit sign over a door and gashed his finger and bled like a stuck pig all over the hall and had to be taken to the ER.

The first one that came to mind was Darcy.
It's probably due to the Pride & Prejudice association.Runner up is maybe Vitaliy.
Or Hadley.
Or I could really make you a list of thousand "sexy" names so I'll just stop there.

I think Alexander is pretty sexy.

Jude was the first one I thought of.

I find James pretty sexy. Things start to break down when you get into Jim, Jimmy and Jamie, but James...that's a good, steady, sexy sound. It's interesting because while I find James sexy, John is absolutely not sexy - though they are so alike in many ways, sex appeal is not something they have in common.I couldn't even guess which name you find sexiest...I know you find Nathaniel the most melodic, but I don't know if that means "sexy" to you.
vote up1
Completely agree.
James is wonderfully attractive- the nicknames significantly less so.
vote up1
I don't find names in their own right sexy, but names can have sexy namesakes. Like, I don't know, something like Nikola, Mikhail, Yuriy, Italo and so forth... they have a little touch of the exotic, but it's the awesome people who had the name who give the appeal. For me any 'sexy' name would be because of the appeal of an iconic, amazing namesake rather than the sounds alone.

For me, I'd say Will. Short for William of course, but Will on its own is majorly swoonworthy for me.In general I'd think something like Raphael. It's very romantic.
