Pretty impressive!However, what clinches the popularity issue for me is Maid Marion of Robin Hood fame. Given that she, like Robin himself, is a generic figure rather than an individual (you don't know what pain I suffer, typing those words!), she would have been given the most obvious, popular, production-line name available. QED.
