[Opinions] Dominic
I've been thinking about this name lately. When I was a kid I kind of liked it because I thought it sounded edgy and cool. Then I went off it for awhile because it got towards the obnoxious end of "edgy and cool." But now I'm seeing it in a completely different light, and I think it has a very humble and venerational appeal to it.I wanted to try pairing it with something else along those lines, like:
Dominic Alphonsus
Dominic Anselm
Dominic Julian
Dominic Angelus
Dominic Ignatius
Dominic Boniface
Dominic Benedictus
Dominic Franciscus
Dominic Columba (oh, I think we have a winner!)But also I think it would go well with very proper, upstanding stuff like:
Dominic Ward
Dominic Albert
Dominic Cecil
Dominic Richard
Dominic Eugene
Dominic Basil
Dominic Ira
Dominic CyrilOr maybe even more earthy things, like:
Dominic Ari
Dominic Rowan
Dominic Ezra
Dominic Finees
Dominic Rafe / Ralph
Dominic EvanOr I don't know, I think it even works as dark and adventurous, like:
Dominic Vincent
Dominic Desmond
Dominic ValentineWDYT? Other ideas?
(Then I also recently found out that my new nephew (due in November) is going to be named Dominic. I'm pretty sure the middle name will be Lee, after my SIL's father. Meh. But I was really happy to hear Dominic given they were otherwise going with Landon! And his big brother is named Elijah, in case you're curious.)

We have a Dominic. The only warning I'd give is that people often try to call him Dominique. We are not sure why, as that isn't even the French pronunciation of his name. Of your name combinations, I prefer Dominic Julian.

Dominic EvanElijah and Dominic are both nice names. Dominic Lee is okay, but I prefer a more unusual middle name.

We have both a Dominic and an Elijah. So, we like both those names. Regards,

Dominic Alphonsus and Dominic Anselm are very cool. Dominic Atticus would be another one.
Dominic Julian is solid and useable.
Dominic Angelus is a little too god/angels/etc. for me.
Dominic Ignatius is cool, but I'd pair Ignatius with something a little more daring. What about Dominic Pelagius?
I want to like Dominic Boniface, but it seems too matchy for some reason. Like if a kid was named Amelia Emily. Not sure why, that's just what I get from it.
Dominic Benedictus- It has the same feel as Dominic Boniface, but the syllable pattern makes it not as matchy. I like it.
Dominic Franciscus- Hm. I can't say I like this one as much. The styles work. I'm not sure why I don't like it, actually. I think it's because I usually pair Francis with softer names, so it seems odd to me to see Franciscuc pared with a D name?
I don't like the -c C- in Dominic Columba.Dominic Ward works well, althouh it's nms. Same with Dominic Albert (although this or Dominic Alfred would be another one like Dominic Julian, where it's solid and very useable.)
