Went to college with a girl named Aftyn. I believe her middle name was May, which sounds pretty. Anything with one syllable would sound nice, like Leigh. It flows well.As a middle name, how about Clare for the first name?

I like it, but only for a boy. If you were to use it for a girl, I'd recommend giving her a feminine middle name (like Afton Elizabeth, Afton Victoria, Afton Sophia, Afton Sarah, or Afton Gabrielle, for example).

Afton means Evening in Swedish. I prefer it for a boy (first or middle name) but it could work as a middle name for a girl.
