May or June?
I like both of these names, but I'm curious to see the response to them. Pretty? Classic? Odd because of the month connotation? So, what do you think? Any combos?

I like June, but May has always had bad associations for me.

Neither!I find that May and June are most commonly used as "filler" middle names, so I don't like that, even when they are used as first names.

I prefer June. To me:
June seems more happy and outgoing, assertive and maybe gawky
May seems more reserved and pretty, maybe shy and hesitant ... possibly due to unconscious association with the word "may"They're not quite classic, but they're highly safe, established usages, IMO.

I like May best. June is okay. I have a friend named June and her whole family calls her Junebug. That's what it makes me think of.

I'm really liking June lately. May is just rather plain but as a FN it might be nice. June isn't heard that often anymore and I think it's really beautiful. The month connotation doesn't really bother me and I don't think it would bother most people, but then again I like October and December as names! :)

I think both are quite lovely. I know about 2 of each (women named May and June, I mean). Much nicer than April, for sure. :b But please not for sisters, lol.

I agree with everything Isla said. If I had to choose, I'd say June, mainly because it's less common.

Definitely not for sisters, that's just cruel :)For some reason, I like both of them much more than April, but I think that has to do with the Aprils I've met in real life. I liked Avril for a while (the French version of April), but after Avril Lavigne came out, that killed my interest in it.

I love the name May, but prefer the spelling Mae. I don't actually like June at all tbh. I just don't like the sound of it. I don't think either name is weird at all.

I dislike June, but I love May. I like it more as a nickname for Mary or Margaret.

They're both lovely, though I prefer the spelling Mae myself. I wouldn't call them odd, but they sure are pretty and classic. :DThe only Mae combo that I ever stuck to was Mae Brigitta. With June, there's been June Evelyn, June Eibhlin, June Domenica, and probably others. Some more Mae suggestions, cuz I'm kind of in a Mae mood. :)
Mae Louisa
Mae Penelope
Mae Eleanor
Mae Caroline
Mae Isabel
Mae Julia
Mae Lenore / Lenora
Mae Olivia
Mae Yvonne
Mae Samantha
Mae Jessica
Mae Laura
Mae Lorraine
Mae Patricia
(Replace with May if that's what you prefer; Mae is just what I automatically type =P)Hope there's something in there you like!

May is so underused, I've seen a few Junes lately.
